An earlier check in time would have been nice. Checked in at 3pm. Didn't realize that we could have used all the communal areas earlier as the main door was closed until 4 pm. Took some time to realise that access was via the back entrance which wasn't immediately obvious.

We are on reflection really happy with the experience as a whole. It is in a great location and very clean and comfortable with all amenities needed. Great vegan breakfast and the staff were very helpful.

Rooms are ok but a bit oldish, I found common places (like the kitchen) not very clean but is also because the guests who don't clean after use

It was fine, shower had a bit of mould but really nothing to complain about at all.

Fabulous location. Husband and I stayed in an en-suite room in the annex. Great sea view and good walk into town about 10 minutes. Great value, there is a kitchen so you can make tea etc. all good.

the showers are odd, either the water pressure is manageable but cold or it is warm but extremely powerful like a bit painful! i took it as a free massage 😅

the location is superb, the views amazing, dorm room was big and airy, it is clean, the kitchen has everything, the staff were super friendly and helpful, there's two comfortable lounges i was able to do some work from

No bed side socket to charge your phones etc The wash basin in the room was partially clogged.

We found the beds and pillows very hard.

The location of the hostel is brilliant with superb views over the bay. Our room was excellent access on the ground floor. with a very large shower/wet room. Perfect for my husband with some mobility problems. Cooking facilities were excellent.

The showers are a bit violent, lol. The water pressure is immense! I think it's £3 to rent a towel unless you bring your own.

This is a fabulous hostel and has the best view! I love staying here when I visit Oban. It is located a 10 minute walk from the train/bus station and ferry terminal, along the sea. Spacious rooms, with toilet and shower facilities en suite. The beds are slightly short for me (I'm 6 foot) but other than that, quite comfy with solid pillows and a thick, warm duvet. Clean and nice rooms. The staff are very helpful. A lovely quiet lounge downstairs, and another beautiful, large lounge with plenty of seating. Large, well equipped kitchen and dining area with fridges, freezer, air fryer, ovens, plus plenty of storage. Extra breakfast/dining room with loads of space. All with the same, gorgeous and calming view of the ocean and the island of Kerrera. Very affordable as well. Washing machines (and dryers?) available st a charge. Oh, and there is a drying facility, so that clothes can dry overnight (well, it's open at all times), which is very handy.

No cons, everything was fab!

Beautiful building with great facilities, clean room, super comfy beds and excellent shower. The staff were so friendly and helpful and there was a lovely laid back atmosphere. The hostel is in a great location, within walking distance of the town, and has a great view. Loved it and we’ll be back!
