Bit tired in the communal areas, didn’t like the very small separate toilet to the bathroom, might work well for some people but not the easiest set up.

Proximity to the centre although not noisy. Didn’t eat at the hotel but so much choice 10 minutes away.

I was advised just after booking and paying that the pool was unavailable due to essential work. I tried ringing for a refund several times and was unable to get through to anyone. The phone connects and you are on hold and then it cuts off, very annoying and poor service.

I paid for a night for my son and his partner for his birthday and they enjoyed their stay

Two little kid beds were cute. The location was very good, close to the city centre. The restaurant was also good. Very family friendly.

Would have preferred to have sky channels in bedroom instead of lounge as not everyone wants to watch same channels. Pillows very hard and uncomfortable on bed recommend softer ones as didn't sleep well.

The staff were polite and accommodating with smiles . The bar and lounge space was lovely and cozy.

No plug in bath, lovely lady sorted it for us. Room wasn’t serviced the following day, but as we were only staying 2 nights it wasn’t a problem.

The room was good, big TV. The bed was comfortable, the location is great being within 5 minutes walking distance to the town centre. After checkout, you can leave your car on the secure carpark all day.

There were no swimming pool facilities due to renovations. We were made aware of this in advance so it wasn't a problem but it would have been nice to be offered some vouchers towards a future visit as compensation for this.

Avoid breakfast and walk across the bridge to Robinson's; great food, lovely staff and atmosphere with great choices. Bed was uncomfortable for me;

Better price than most whilst being walking distance to everything. Parking reasonable, safe, accessible (bonus being you check out at 11 but you can leave you car in the car park until midnight). Felt safe and secure, largely quiet up on 4th floor overlooking the river/city car park. Nothing to complain about really - it's a place to sleep and shower.

My only gripe would be the price of the onsite parking very expensive and advertised price was not correct when paying at reception, and the onsite swimming pool has been closed for over a year.

Breakfast was excellent, with a lot of choice on the buffet, staff couldn’t do enough. Very friendly.

Room carpet looked like it was ready for an update, with some obvious staining. Hotel is completely cashless...so be prepared for that.

Big, spacious room with clever storage, nice lighting and good shower. Really nice lobby area to relax and have a drink. Great location, only a short walk into the centre of York.

The room needs better instructions on how to use the coffee maker. Also instructions on how to order room service need to be clear. Also better communication between staff, we were initially told that we would be able to check out at 12pm noon as we had become members, but then later when we actually checked in we were told it was 11am. Luckily the other staff member was on hand to explain that we were members so it was now 12pm.

Nice big room, beautiful shower, great view from the window. Nice reception area.

We did not have breakfast as we thought it was rather expensive at £18 per person, so we went out. We also thought the car parking expensive at £16 per day. Unfortunately the advertised swimming pool was closed for refurbishment, but the hotel did inform us of this in advance.

We liked the central location with views over the River Foss and a pleasant riverside walk into town. Car parking on site although a bit expensive. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the reception and bar area welcoming and cheery.
