Great bar, parking, lovely staff and owners, couple of minutes from town centre. Breakfast cooked fresh, out of the pan and piping hot onto your plate!

Probably not suitable for more than a weekend stay in the single room.

WiFi was good. Single room was great for overnight and exactly what I needed as I was on a navigation course locally. Bed was really comfy.

didn’t like the shared bath room but with that said the bathroom is a great size, very clean and the shower was hot which was a bonus.

Great location to 2min walk into the town great amount of parking our actual room was very spacious, clean and airy. land lord Wayne was really nice and I was so greatful that I arrived a lot earlier than I expected and once the pub opened, at 12 Wayne let me check in earlier than normal and made me feel very welcome.

Curtains in the room let a lot of light through in the early mornings.

Hosts were really nice and very accommodating. Beds were very comfy. Breakfasts were a good siz and tasty.

No where to do hair or makeup except bathroom as only mirror was over the bed

In the bedroom there was no chair which would have been useful. There was no towel rail in the bathroom. We would have expected some glasses in the bathroom for tooth cleaning.

The food was excellent and well presented. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Beds were very comfortable.

The communal areas/hallways are run down, carpets need replacing, lick of paint etc. Thin bedroom walls, single glazed windows which rattled a lot during a windy night and let the cold in. These issues are difficult for the owner to address due to the obvious cost implications.

Location is ideal for the town. Free parking at the rear. The manager Wayne was very friendly and helpful. Room had a comfortable bed and a flat screen TV. Good price.

I grew up in Brecon and booked to go back and have a look around and the tavern is in a brilliant location close to the town centre.

Room was a little cold only 1 radiator was working. We used the electric fan that was supplied but had to turn it off when we went to sleep and then it didn't take long to get cold again

No alternative to butter was available (although I didn't actually ask for it); similiarly some non-dairy milk e.g. oat milk, would have been a nice/healthy addition. A bedside table and lamp in the bedroom (I booked a single room as I was on my own) would have been very useful.

The breakfast was very good value, especially if you have the cooked breakfast. I liked having fresh fruit on offer and also low fat yogurts. There was a choice of cereals including sugar-free muesli which was always my choice. And when I had the cooked vegetarian breakfast I was also pleasantly surprised. With plenty of filter coffee (I even had a cappucino on my first morning) and self service brown or white toast.
