A gym, pool and sauna would have been perfection! Or even just one of the three!

    1. The room exceeding our expectations in terms of go girt, size and quirky interior design. 2. The atmosphere snd interior design in communal areas was also quirky and of very high standard 3. The garden are beautifully planted snd tended, I got scream sense of peace and well ring. I wish I had had more time to read under the front garden exterior loggia, it was a pleasure to meet and chat to Alan, the gardener 4. The staff were consistently friendly snd helpful, I didn't get the sense that rules got in the way at all (' on our check out day, we were told 'you can park for as long as you want' 5. Iffley is a quaint Cotswold village with fantastic access to river and Iffley lock. We walked into Oxford along the Isis. The whole regrettably short stay was memorable, thank you all.

The room we were in seemed to be a locked off adjoining room and the children next door were really loud (not really the hotels fault)

The bed was so comfortable , the hotel was clean and well maintained

The only things are that the lighting in the room is a bit dull and the bed was a bit too soft,

Breakfast is amazing, location is brilliant because it is only a short walk to Donnington Bridge and the river to watch the rowing. Staff are very friendly, especially the lovely lady who manages the breakfast! It's also lovely to be able to bring the dog.

At night the resources are sparce, as Oxford is quiet earlier in the evening i'd expect more to be available from the hotel. No food was served past 8.30pm which was disappointing. Also we ordered hot chocolates later in the evening, instead off calling back to say they couldn't make it we waited 15 minutes to have sachets of hot chocolate powder brought to the room, it was very odd as they could have just made the hot chocolates for us as requested. Apart from this the hotel was great.

Really spacious room, great location to get into Oxford, very dog friendly and accommodating. The receptionist in the day was very kind, personable and helpful.

We booked a double room but when we arrived reception said we were in a “compact double”. I thought it was abit strange referring to it as “compact” but sure enough - it was VERY small! If I had known we were in a “compact” room I would have probably chose another as you could barely move in the bathroom. There was no mirror where they had a table and chair, it was all the way over by the door. Tricky for us ladies who want to do our make-up. There was no plug next to the kettle so you had to plug it in on the floor by the door - not particularly safe (it was either that or plug in on the table and take it around to the door where the tea/coffee making items were, it wasn’t practical. The size of the room should have been for a single in my opinion.

The grounds were beautiful and the location was good.

We were in a disability room ie with wet room which meant the bathroom got wet and there was no shower curtain. We didn’t request an accessible room. Toilet was also very high. Room was very dark as there was no central light only side lights.Tv remote did not work.

Nice setting staff very friendly . Bed was comfy with good blackout curtains so slept well.Free parking was a lovely addition

We did not book a breakfast but decided to have one. It was £16 each and very poor value for money. This is because the selection was poor, which was because the staff advised me that a delivery had not arrived which meant a limited selection which included the pastry selection which was only pain au chocolate and croissant and the croissant was already filled with jam which were rubbery and not nice. The cooked selections were not much better because it was dried out and had stood for a long time plus the coffee was dreadful the water was too hot meaning the coffee was bitter. I explained all of this to the receptionist but we still had to pay the full price which was a disappointment particularly because their normal delivery for breakfast did not arrive plus the other issues we had. I would recommend the hotel although it was pricey for what it was although it was clean and the staff were nice. However I would definitely avoid the breakfast and go elsewhere.

The property overall was very good
