Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThis is a very typical, old fashioned, Greek Hotel with nothing to dislike if this is what you expect. The shower room did tend to flood and not drain away but this wasn't a problem to us.
The view of the Bourtzi and the surrounding sea views were incredible and extremely pleasant. The location to town and the harbour is fantastic & very close, giving easy access to many wonderful tavernas, bars, shops and restaurants. The breakfast room has one of the most beautiful outlooks in Skiathos. Breakfast was satisfying with a choice of thick, creamy, greek yoghurt, fresh fruit, honey, bread rolls, cheeses, ham, salami, fresh tomatoes & cucumber, freshly baked spinach & cheese pastries, homemade cakes, croissants etc, orange juice, water, tea & coffee.

United KingdomBathroom was cramped and very dated. The shower hose and head had been replaced but meant it didn’t fit on the mount and had to hold it whilst standing in a very small shower tray. There is an on-site bar and restaurant which is immediately below the bedrooms which face the sea. The restaurant is lovely with beautiful views but does mean there can be noise from it in the bedrooms. We had an issue with this on our first night and manager made sure on second night, it was much quieter. Breakfast is served in the restaurant which means you can pop down when you need however, we found that the choice wasn’t as much as photos showed. Wouldn’t have paid for this if I had known.
Location was brilliant! Can get to swimming areas and the promenade where the central part of Skiathos is. Beautiful views from the balcony (note there are rooms which don’t face the sea). We had a sea facing room.

United KingdomThe bathroom facilities are very poor, the shower was not working properly, which is very disappointing for such a great place. The room was ok, nice comfortable bed, and again… amazing view. In terms of cleanliness, the bathroom was not clean at all, the rest of the room was ok. Breakfast was below average.
Amazing view! Great staff!

United KingdomRoom is cleaned daily and everything there just needs an update really. Shower tray has curtain that touches your body while showering, showerhead doesn't attach to wall very well and end up holding it. :-(
Location is fabulous, staff great, aircon, fridge in room, beach below for morning swim (62 steps), continental breakfast with good coffee. View from room 7 balcony adequate. Breakfast veranda, with vine above, has beautiful views and very spacious.

United KingdomIf anything, the bathroom floor pools a bit of water in spite of drain, so a shower wiper or something like that would be good. And a few hooks for towels etc.
Villa Orsa is fantastic. Great value for a spot in the old town, just a few paces from all the restaurants in the old harbour. A wonderful terrace where breakfast is served and where you can hang all day drinking iced coffees looking out at the water. Best secret is the small private beach just steps down from Thai terrace.

BrazilThe infrastructure is a bit old and very simple. The bathroom really needs improvement, there was no hot water some days. The breakfast is not great. The hotel is on top of the stairs and difficult to reach with suitcases.
The most fantastic and impressive view from the bedroom balcony, very beautiful! Breakfast space on the terrace facing the Aegen sea and under the grape tree is also magical! Close to city center but protected from the night life noise.

BelgiumWe stayed for just one night before our flight out of Skiathos, and for this purpose it was the perfect room - but once we saw the hotel we would have preferred to stay for a couple of more days! The views to the sea from the room's small balcony were amazing, and there was almost complete silence all around, with only the sound of waves filtering up to our room. The room had A/C, as well as a little bathroom. The downstairs terrace hosted a tasty breakfast with lovely views to the sea. You could also walk down directly from that terrace to the sea. The hotel is ideally located very close to the lively part of Skiathos with all the nice tavernas, yet also a bit outside of that, which provides a calm and quiet environment. We loved it!

ItalyThe rooms are a bit outdated (like elsewhere in Greece) but had everything we needed for our stay. When we arrived for check-in no one was at reception but we quickly solved the issue with a few phone calls.
Villa Orsa is just at the end of the old port, close to town but away from the noise. The host is a very welcoming man who gave us lots of tips for the island and did everything to make us comfortable. The outside terrace where they serve breakfast is really beautiful, overlooking the bay.

Bulgaria- we never had hot water (even we did not need it to be hot). Our room was on the last floor and we had to wait 2-3 minutes before the warm water to appear. Then it disappears and appears again a few times :)))) ; - the shower cabin is very narrow. The water leaks all over the bathroom. Even we asked the host to provide us a mop for our room constantly so that we can rinse the water from the bathroom floor by ourselves after we take a bath; - the property is a little bit hard to reach. When the street around the old port ends, you have to climb stairs uphill for around 50 meters. I think the alternative routes are similar. It is not easy with heavy suitcases, it is not easy after heavy dinner and a lot of drinks too :))) ; - I am not sure the ratio of the money for the value you get is good. Ok, maybe for us the room was a little bit more expensive because we booked it only 2 days before check-in, I don't know if it would be cheaper if we booked earlier. But we paid 120 EUR per night and I am telling you - it is not quite worth it if you book it for the same price; I don't think this property is good for heavy people like me (weighing over 100 kilos) - the bath is narrow and it is not easy to reach the hotel - I am not sure any taxi can take you in front of the entrance - you have to climb stairs.
Our room was with balcony with a sea view and it was really nice. The place where we have breakfast is also nice. The property is relatively close to the main street and the port so the location I would say is good. The host we met is an old guy and I would say he is helpful and even funny. He provided what additional we asked. I think there are 2 beaches in a walking distance but we did not visit them.

United StatesNothing —but some people might not like the stairs to get to the hotel but I didn’t mind them at all.
Everything! It is a sweet hotel set away from the noise of the waterfront. I could hear the water lapping against the rocks from my room. The people who run this hotel are lovely and the location is perfect.
