The room stunk of smoke, the blinds didn’t shut, the toilet door didn’t close. The room was absolutely tiny, the head board only covered half the bed?? Cut bits of wallpaper to hide marks on the wall very strange

Quite faded decor, things missing in room (bathroom mirror) parts cut off window blinds, shower cut off after a few mins and wouldn’t go on again

The heating is weak and there is no closet in the room

Came in the middle of a heatwave to find the wall heater cranked up ,but window open. When room was cleaned ,cleaner should of turned off heating as it is not required in 32-35 degrees heat, it took ages for the room to get cooler. Tired décor with damaged fittings, broken slates on blinds ,hole in wall above toilet, broken plug chain, toilet roll holder half hanging off wall. (have photo's ) Signs that say there IS a lift on the ground floor but ,it doesn't exist and has been removed. Location is almost 1 hour on foot to town as we had parked car which was securely locked. so if you need food (dinner in our case) it is a mad rush to get there before 9pm closing on a Monday. Key deposit is required in Cash ,will not take a swipe on card , or card deposit ,which meant driving around to find an ATM (not in plain site at this end of town) and if your an overseas traveler fees for withdrawing a measly small amount.

We had 2 false fire alarms at 10pm and 7am. There was no hot water in the shower and it was impossible to fill the kettle at the bathroom sink. The £10 cash deposit for the room key needs to be made clear ahead of time, we weren’t even allowed to put our things in our room before we went out to get the cash.

We only stayed for one night. The staff were friendly and mostly everything was quite quiet. We didn’t feel unsafe as others mention they have. The room was fine for a cheap place to sleep. An Asda and plenty of places for food nearby

A lot, unfortunately. Firstly I turn up to a sign that says “ring bell and wait to be buzzed in” - I ring and wait there for five minutes but don’t get buzzed in - I push the door and it was unlocked? Bizarre check in experience - turned up at 2 and had to be ushered into an office to complete the check-in, and told to wait in reception as the room may not be clean. In the end I went to my room and it was all ready so unsure why I was made to wait for confirmation. I needed to pay a £10 room key deposit (this was cash only) which is odd. Room very basic - tv didn’t turn on and no seat/desk area which feels like a basic? And there was one wall with stains all over it. The hotel must be right next door to a drum studio or something because the sound of drum practice woke us in the early hours. Thank god it did though as for some reason an alarm went off in the bathroom - sounded like a fire alarm - so strange. Felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. Also none of the plug sockets were positioned anywhere useful. I can’t stress this enough - consider paying a little more and going somewhere else. The place is just odd.

This booking was made because if the price however I have paid less and got more from many places.

The property is rather tired and requires an upgrade which has been carried out in the lounge area.

Unfortunately I didn't have breakfast It's an easy bus ride away from the town centre.
