To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomBreakfast is repetitive, no any difference - each day totally the same, a bit annoying for guests staying for a week or longer. Steam room in the SPA was out of order, same as our last stay here, looks like they have permanent problem with it. Rooms now are cleaned each third day, which is not good idea, especially for carpeted floors. But this is only my opinion.
We booked for 8 nights and initially were given room on ground floor with the window facing the wall opposite... I went back to reception but guy who allocated this room to us was already finished his shift. I want specially admit next shift receptionists - Naomi and Murray who did their best to find another room for us and were really nice and professional. Thank you very much.

United KingdomThe only thing, we had asked for our room to be cleaned before we left for the day. When we came back it hadn't been. I went to the reception and explained and they got someone to clean the room straight away. The rooms aren't soundproof and the TV could do with an update. You can only connect your phone to the TV for music, not to watch things. Bit dark in the room we stayed in so could have better lighting although there were plenty of lights.
The hotel was standard but cosy. The staff were very helpful and loaded with useful information. When we made requests they were handled efficiently. The location is good, right outside there's a bus stop, with bus services that take you straight to the city centre. The food was really good. We didn't have breakfast but we did have room service, twice. The steam room wasn't working when we were there unfortunately, but the sauna was and that was great! Went in the pool too. Very easy to access the facilities.

I was an escapee from a well known so-called budget hotel, which on arrival was found to be so awful (at an inflated charge as it was a last-minute booking, I drove to Edinburgh to beat Storm Babet and ensure I was able to catch my flight to Europe, for work, next morning), I accepted the offer of a refund from the manager once finding there was a room left with you. I did not expect much from you, especially as the rate was substantially cheaper, but hoped it would be an improvement and it was. The reception was pleasant, clean, welcoming, nice friendly staff, the room was comfy and clean and the whole ambience of the place was efficient, but pleasant and comfortable. I enjoyed a good dinner. Paying for parking was simple and straight forward and a reasonable cost.

United KingdomThe room could have been warmer. The TV only worked on BBC1. There was no room service menu - it had to be found using a QR code.
The room was large and generally comfortable although cold (I did ask if the radiator could be made to work, but nothing happened). Breakfast was very good, as was room service. Check-in and check-out was easy. There was a bus stop right outside with regular buses to Edinburgh City Centre. The "grab and go" (snacks and drinks available next to reception) was great.

United KingdomThe restaurant was over priced we had pizza's and for £17 that is way to high priced and was very low quality and no flavour to it . The waiting staff was pleasant but did not seem to know what or where the food was going and i don't know if the man was head waiter he was going about like a headless chicken asking at tables if this was our order and another member done the same so the poor people that had ordered would be getting a cold meal i personally think that training is needed and a system in place so that food can be delivered to the correct table
