Our room was good but unfortunately a boiler came on at 6 am and was rather noisy in our room.

As an old listed building the walls are very thin so frequently disturbed by noisy neighbours, loud TV and arriving home etc.

Great hotel with really amazing staff. Welcoming and attentive. Excellent food. Had a couple of issues which were seen to immediately.

Exceptional service, staff couldn’t do enough for me - helped with bags, sorted a evening meal booking, held a table for me in quiet corner despite being very busy, arranged a breakfast tray each night as I left before breakfast was served. Had a real can do attitude and nothing was too much trouble. Real credit to the owners

Not didnt like but some things that might be good - make sure kettle in single room is reliable, worked perfect though after first trys though so maybe temporary! Sustainability extras for all hotel really but things like: - could some tea / biscuit things come In sustainable packets (this goes for all hotels!) - i didnt have breakfast so dont know but could always get local eggs and/or deal on bacon? Signage/info if poss: - clear sign/area made on reception so understand where to check in/out but tbh manager helped with that and helpful (just if he is busy may help staff) - On info state if shower is gel or shampoo too? But it was brilliantly sustainable - maybe direct how folk can recycle in room or state it happens after collected if poss - i may have missed but if theres a last time to be in as people go to festivals mention that or how to access (i was in plenty of time anyway so no worries there!) All small suggestions, my stay was perfect (and ive worked in sustainability hence those, i could see some things already...). Would stay again.

- Single too floor room nicer and quieter than expected given sea front location - Bed v comfy! - Umbrella even provided in room - very useful - unexpected and much needed. V grateful - Breakfast room looked great and smelled great but i needed the sleep so chose to sleep in! - Grateful for the towel saving (green) notice, the information on arrival and the refillable gels. - Great location - Great coffee maker option - Great to advertise recycling - Price fair for my single, location, comfort and treatment - Nice outdoor tables on sea front Very helpful manager, even charged my phone for me without a cable as one off as i was in real predicament for a festival ticket only stored on phone!

My partner booked this at the last minute. I was sleeping rough in sidmouth. It was cold and I had just arrived without any sleeping bags. It was a nice place to stay. In 2022 mother took us here for my birthday

Only enough room for 8 cars to park free Mattress was memory foam which I personally don't like.

Booking .com site said no parking so we paid £42 pounds to park up the road .Second day we discovered there was limited parking which a bit annoying as there was some spaces .

Bathroom was a bit if a squeeze but perfectly functional.

Excellent breakfast. Top staff, nothing too difficult for them, including The Boss! This is a little gem and long may it remain, ideal for a short break.

Didn’t realise that there would be no staff on duty on a Sunday evening and was a bit worried about not being able to get in. Also wasn’t told that I had to go to another hotel for breakfast.
