Parking is tricky (limited spaces and very tight. All rooms are by stairs (fine for us but not for others I expect). No central facilities such as gym.

Rooms came with tea/coffee tray. Great shower. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Reception works 24/7. Very close to town centre and river.

Bathroom could always do with a good polish around taps a bit brown, not unclean but could be better. Lighting in bedroom poor when getting wedding ready!

Location was excellent, parking was a little tight but good to have. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Liked the idea of a eco clean and free drink in bar.

It was not an issue for myself (or my sister) but the room was on the 3rd floor (in the Eaves) and there are no stairs which is understandable in a hotel of this age. So if mobility is an issue, then this room would not be accessible. The bathroom was large and the hot water was very hot but there were areas which needed a touch of paint especially the bath panel.

Being able to make use of the hotel's underground car park is a bonus in Henley although there is a £15 charge to do this. I only stayed one night so am not sure if that cost was for the night or covered other nights if you stayed for longer. The receptionist was very helpful (she directed us to the car park as the turning is easy to miss) and nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast is beautifully laid out and there is a wealth of choice. The Bistro is a very pleasant place to eat in. We could check in an hour earlier than the usual 3 pm slot which was welcome but only because we took the offer of another room than the one I had booked. The hotel's location is excellent as a few steps from its front is the River Thames which meant we could easily stroll along the Thames path even when the light was fading.

The toilet but I know that it's quite a traditional one. There was a false alarm while we stayed there. Though it was a false alarm, we need some explanation to ease all the worries especially for our frightened daughter who was crying at the incident. We were left sitting in the lobby for quite a while without any updated situation till we had to ask the receptionist whether it's okay to go up to the room? As the incident occurred right after we checked in that evening, we expected to have our 4-year-old daughter and an elderly mom taken a rest as soon as possible. Anyway, the receptionist was nice and very helpful at the time we checked in.

    Everything offers in the hotel.

I was surprised we had to pay extra to extend checkout by 1 hour. We will be staying in Henley-on-Thames fairly frequently over the next few years but will try somewhere else.

We were unlucky with late night neighbours returning and making quite a noise. I think the soundproofing is good enough for standard noise, but not 100%. Room (classic) was a bit small and only 1 chair was a shame. Shower head needed a clean (reported).

Enjoyed the style and ambiance of the hotel and the location is excellent. Parking (£15) was a real bonus. The room was comfortable and had some above average touches, such as good coffee sachets (and two of regular and decaf - a nice change!). Bathroom was a good size and nicely appointed. Breakfast was very good.

Aircon was difficult to handle but that's probably just us not being very practicle!

Excellent location, staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Lovely courtyard where we enjoyed some drinks. The restaurant looked amazing and we will certainly try it out next time we visit. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Very nicely converted property with lovely courtyard. We needed to change rooms because the one we were allocated had a bathroom upstairs which causes problems for my husband, and the staff were very helpful and found us another room. Comfy beds and nice bath as well as shower. A good stay.

There was a wedding party going on late the night I stayed and also as a result the restaurant was unavailable. It would have good to have been warned about these things in advance in case I decided to make other plans. Fortunately I wasn't disturbed too much.

Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Location was great close to the river and town centre.

apparently we should have pre-booked parking but this was not obvious when we booked.

We booked our room at the last minute. It far exceeded our expectations. We also hadn't planned to eat in the restaurant which also was superb!

Underneath the rim of the toilet needs bleaching and cleaning. Stains on ceiling. Montes Estate. Reception staff joined each other when not necessary to sort a problem and left other guests in limbo.

Right on the river and great building
