Smell from bathroom. Cheap duvet and pillows.

Nice spacious rooms, bathroom tired needs renovation… as others have reported there was also a smell from the bathroom. The food was good and breakfast had plenty of choice. Staff are lovely. We would stay again as good value.

Entrance (shared by the beauty salon) needed to be cleaned or monitored regularly. Poor impression on entering the hotel as reception is further back in the restaurant. There was no marmalade for breakfast. The kitchen struggled to give good vegetarian options. The vegetable curry was short of vegetables and seriously over-priced.

The double deluxe bedroom was light and spacious and perfectly maintained with a view of Glastonbury Tor. The breakfasts were cooked to perfection.

There is limited plug sockets in the room. Especially for when you need to charge your phone. The sockets where the lamps plug into weren't normal plugs so could only be used for the lamps. Also, I'd say although the breakfast was good the dinner was quite over priced. I paid £18 for a lentil curry, but it was actually lentil paste. So I paid £18 for sauce and rice. I'm a veggie, so I feel that should have been explained before I ordered!

I loved the hotel decor, the friendless from the staff, the breakfast in the morning. The location is amazing also!

Lovely location away from the town. Very peaceful. Not to far away from Wells. Bar area is really nice and welcoming and the terrace area out side is amazing with great views of the countryside.

Not enough staff on to cover breakfast orders, quite long delays in receiving hot food element.

The outside furniture was torn and covered in green from the weather. It should of had covers. Instructions for the hot tub would of been helpful.

The location was good. Our room was beautiful. The dining area and bar is really well decorated giving it a cosy feel. Having a hot tub was lovely but took a while to get the temperature setting right as it had no instructions. The living area had amazing views as was the view from the hot tub. The food was really nice.

The room was large and comfortable, spotlessly clean everywhere, except for dust on top of wardrobe yes sorry I always check. 😳 The bedding didn't fit on the bed properly, bottom sheet way too small, and albeit comfy the quilt was way too small, double quilt on king-size bed. Little attention to better quality bedding needed.

Lack of vacuuming in the room, as well as general lack of dusting and cleaning in the public areas eg on top of the piano, windows and mirrors where there were smears which weren't seen to. We didn't like that the main hotel doors were left open all night and we felt a tiny bit insecure because of that, although the bedroom doors had proper locks on. We'd suggest a proper locking system on the hotel entrances where guests could use their pass keys for admittance. Breakfast offerings could have been replenished more frequently, ie fruit bowls, bread for toast etc, as guests had to keep asking for these. Also, staff could have cleared tables of finished plates more quickly between courses, as these were left lying around for the duration of guests' meals. All these niggles are very small and easy to put right, which would make this hotel a fantastic and unusual find in the middle of the countryside.

We liked the choice of breakfasts and evening meals. We loved our room, which was very well appointed, spacious and accommodating. We liked the little interior design concepts. The quiz night and special curry evening were great. Parking was excellent. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location was fabulous with wonderful scenery, and was close to Wells and other places of interest. The hotel is spacious and offers lots of different configurations of public rooms for meals etc. We were very pleased with our choice of hotel.

Service in the restaurant in the evenings was very slow. Seemed to be short staffed. The food in the evenings was ok but not exceptional. Duck with an odd blackberry sauce that didn’t taste good. Chicken with little spots of red uncooked meat

Breakfast was lovely. The country location was perfect for us, lots of local walks for the dog and peaceful location with beautiful village church. Our room was spacious with a beautiful bathroom with a fabulous jacuzzi bath. Also asked for a room with a view and had a wonderful view of Glastonbury Tor.

Location was perfect for our little trip

A little dated and tired. Rooms were very large but dusty, could have done with a fridge in the room and conditioner was not provided like in most 4/5 star hotels
