The only negative was the number of groups that visited the winery which I understand but at dinner was very noisy with large groups and during the day was sometimes intrusive

The shower took a long time to become hot and the temperature varied during a shower. The quality of the breakfast items could be improved: we had items (bread, cake and eggs) which were hard and dry.

The property, swimming pool and surrounding views were beautiful. Good quality coffee, tea and delicious biscuits were available all day long and free of charge. The dinners were delicious (though the portions were very small). The staff were very friendly and very helpful.

The only thing I would change was that the bed was a little thin.

Just a suggestion. Consider adding some relaxing and soft background music at the wine pairing dinner and at breakfast, perhaps Andrea Boccelli. It's very quiet and music would add to the ambiance.

This property at a popular Sicily winery is absolutely lovely in a beautiful and quiet setting with a vanishing edge pool and dramatic views! Our room was spacious with a terrace overlooking the vineyards. The staff are all wonderful and Alfonso our contact is super. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning and could choose many items from a menu including eggs. We decided to try the wine pairing dinner with gourmet food and wine which was excellent. This was a perfect way to end our three-week Italy trip. We stayed here for three nights after visiting Taormina only 45 minutes away. Highly recommend this wine resort and experience!

The rain - but what can you do?

Nestled in the foothills of Mount Etna, if you are looking for some peace and quiet with some good wine, then this place is for you. With only a limited number of rooms, it does have an exclusive feel to it, as the rooms are in a building secluded from the winery's main tasting buildings,with an infinity pool that has some spectacular views. Obviously as an active winery there will be plenty of wine tours popping in throughout the day, however this was never bothersome.. Villegrane Winery is relatively isolated, with the village of Milo just over 1km up the hill, so if you are looking for lunch or dinner alternatives then this will be the nearest option. With that said the tasting menu together with wine pairings is out of this world an excellent value for money. The chef is obviously very talented as well as imaginative as they rotate 4 menus meaning that you need to won't need to leave until day 5. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well equipped (including a range of their wines). There is a lounge area with tea and coffee facilities should you wish to make use of them. The breakfast was outstanding and for a nice change a la carte. It should be noted that Villegrande is run very similar to a B&B with the addition of a restaurant. Therefore do not expect to find a bar or restaurant for lunch.

On our third day there nobody entered to clean the room. I left some towels to be changed and found them on the bathroom floor right where i put them (it was their policy to put the towels on the floor when we wanted them to be changed). The wi fi was really weak in our room. Besides these, i would totally recommend this accommodation.

The property is amazing! Very well taken care of and very cosy. Staff is really nice and the breakfast was delicious (especially the pastries). The pool view is Incredible and the photos don’t do it justice!

Pool area beds are a little neglected, but its view made up for it, and the dining area was a bit dark. Tasting menu not to our taste, but that’s not a criticism of the stay at all.

The villa and the room were divine. Stunning view over the vineyards. Beautiful stone pool. Breakfast was delicious. Hosts were very helpful indeed in organising a last minute transfer for my children.

Beautiful property and location, super clean and very relaxing atmosphere, and great breakfast. The pool is great to spend a whole day in. Also loved the set dinner menu and the wine pairing, definitely worth it and great value for money. Thanks to Marinella and the whole team for taking such great care of us and for all the local recommendations.

The resort had three amazing things: the wine, the food, and the staff. Sommelier Maria has made our stay an exceptional experience, a true wine, food, and culture enthusiast. If we are coming back again to Villagrande, it’s because we want to meet Maria again 😍
