Not much. But being really fussy - the following. Beebole cottage is quite close and has its own area of the garden clearly marked but it would have been even better to have a the whole 'estate' to ourselves - (But there is a very private side garden to the Hall and plenty of garden furniture) The central heating controls are a bit erratic even when the instructions are followed - the cottage is quite cool and even in the summer the drawing room can be quite chilly - we did use the log burner (for which plenty of logs were provided). Some teacups would have been good and more in keeping - as we tended to have afternoon tea - (but the big mugs were fine). Not sure you would want the AGA on in hot summer as it makes the kitchen very warm.

Grade 2* listed building offering amazing living experience with modern comforts in an excellent rural location. The furnishings are like a boutique hotel with a few antiques. It was probably one of the best UK cottages we have stayed in. Although it was not the Italian villa holiday we had originally planned this year we loved it and it was a good compromise. Indeed we loved it. The Hall is part of a small friendly Hamlet community of Countersett including Beebole cottage (opposite and also let) and there are three other cottages nearby with permanent residents all of whom were very very friendly. Cooking on the AGA (NB there is also a good normal cooker) was a fun and instructive experience. Large attractive garden made for a good setting. The cottage is very well equipped (yes it has champagne glasses) and is good sized (without being huge). The cottage keeps cool in hot weather
