Fantastic pod with everything we expected and needed Did exactly what was expected we did not have much interaction with the hostel staff but the couple of conversations we had they were very helpful

If I had to be say something here, one of party commented that their could have been a bit more space in the room, but I would not have said space was an issue. I didn't like all the snoring, but since they were my friends I can't complain too much....

The Callander Hostel is situated next to a beautiful river, not far at all from the town centre. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room was good, very clean, the showers were powerful enough and there was plenty of hot water.

The intermittent water heater and fridge going off all night disrupted sleep

Everything you need for a comfortable stay, great location and views. Well equipped although information about what was in the pods would have been useful.

There was no staff on-site but that did not bother us.

Very functional room, great for families. Convenient parking in the back of the building and very close to all the restaurants of the village. Nice shared lounge area for rest or meals.

Room was a little squashed for 4 once the camper bed was out. I would suggest at least 2 bunk beds for rooms that take 4.

Good location. Helpful staff. Good facilities for cooking and sitting around the fire. Good time of year as not busy.

Shower wouldn't always stay at same temperature, switched between a bit too hot and lukewarm but nothing dramatic.

A lovely little hostel with a 2 minute walk to the Main street with shops, bakery, cafes and pub. Everything was clean and tidy. Kitchen facilities were top notch! Everything you need was provided! Lovely fireplace to sit by, books to read, amazing rates.

Would have liked a TV

Liked flexibility of check-in via keysafe, underfloor heating, free WiFi and covered outdoor seating area with stunning views of the hills. Also loved the concept of it being run as a social enterprise benefitting local young people.

The pods were amazing!!!!! Heated floors, so spacious, spotless, everything you needed for cooking etc and great location. Will definitely be back.

We were group of 5 had the whole hostel for ourselves for that night as there were no other guests. Has a very nice and cosy fire place. Close to supermarkets and gas station. Room came with two attached bathrooms which was good.

The first evening it was cold, the underfloor heating didn't seem to get going until the second night.

I stayed in one of the glamping pods. It was very well equipped and cosy.

The lighting in the room was not very bright. A television in the lounge would be good.

We liked the comfortable, warm ensuite room. The location was great, short walk to the centre. The staff were excellent, very helpful.

There was a loud vent noise over night and the bathroom radiator wasn't working. Apart from that everything was great.

Cute booths, nice stay and system, finding it, access was good and communication with the hotel was good and easy.

The lighting in the rooms is a little dim, other than that nothing!

Convenient location, friendly staff, facilities were in much better condition than I expected for a hostel. We had a private room and were pleasantly surprised based on what we paid for the room.

Beds hadnt been changed and bathroom wasnt the cleanest. Felt like room hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned since the previous guests.
