Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaSmall hidden step at entrance unmarked. My wife tripped and fell. Also, the check in agent was a bit surly, amd didn't tell us about parking when asked. The morning agent was amazing and told us where to move the car to.
Amazing room with a good location. Great breakfast.

United States of AmericaYou do need to take a taxi or bus if you arrive by train. It isn't close to the center of town either.
The breakfast was good, the bathroom seemed recently remodeled and there was a stop for the hop on-off bus just a block away. Very close to Glasgow University.

United KingdomEasy access (15 minute walk) to OVO or SECC area. 10 minute walk from Exhibition Centre Station. Comfortable beds, warm showers and friendly staff. There's nothing to dislike about this place and there's plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Would happily stay here again.

United KingdomMain thing that disgruntled me was the gentleman on reception when we arrived before checkin time and he was also there when we checked out. He didn’t even thank us, just pointed to the checkout box not even a glance from his computer. He really should get proper training. The shower tiles need a scrub too - otherwise clean.
The property was a lovely building quirkily laid out.

United KingdomUnhelpful staff. There is virtually NO long stay daytime parking around the hotel (onstreet between 6pm and 8am overnight is free) if you are not lucky enough to get into their limited car park. The local street parking only allows limited hours of parking, and if there were any nearby car parks where you could leave your car for a couple of days, the Reception staff werent helpful enough to tell you about it. I watched one of them just shrug their shoulders when a foreign visitor tried to work out what to do with their car for two days, and told them to go to a post office on another street to get some change for the parking meter. They could be more helpful and provide a printout of the area saying where people could leave their car for long or short stays, such as the underground park and ride. The reception staff need to be trained to be more friendly and maybe even smile, as when I queried about their need to take a £100 'security deposit' (they need this in cash if you don't have a credit card), even though I'd paid for the room in full in advance, I got quite a grumpy and harsh response telling me it was very clear on the website and I should have looked at the terms and conditions, which I eventually found way down at the very very bottom of the Booking.com web page!
Clean and comfy room which was well appointed wih a decent TV, and reasonably quiet even next to a main road. Its on a main road with plenty of buses into town and a wide range of restaurants nearby. Two doors down is a pub which is clearly a meeting place for scottish musicians, and you got great music while getting a pint. Didn't have to wait too long to check in even thought were were a few people in front of me.
