The only minus was that there was not a single channel in other languages than French. A bit weird that the main doors were closed at 19 and you have to use the intercome - not big deal but

Good location of the Hotel - just a min walk from the train station. The room was small but very comfortable and quiet. Walking distance to the city centre.

Nothing at all

Lovely big room with a theme: we got the "farwest" one. Lovely deco and fun concept. Right cross the station, which is super convenient and a 15 min walk to the center. Extremely confortable bed (memory foam i think), great bathroom, tons of room for luggage. There is a mini bar that we used for a fridge. The hotel has good policies re COVID and gives a welcome package with coffee, tea and cookies. This hotel was a lovely surprise. Restaurants nearby are good.

The construction that was happening while we were there

The hotel was located just nearby the Gare de Rennes. Less than 5mins walk. Hotel staff were all friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing as there were a lot of options to eat. The hotel also has an elevator, so we don't have to carry our bags up the stairs. The hotel is very clean and well taken care of. We were in Rennes for 3 nights and the time we spent here was amazing cuz we had a good night sleep cuz of the comfortable beds. Definitely will stay here again if given the chance.

Super little hotel located right by the train station. Rooms were spotless and surprisingly big. Breakfast was standard continental breakfast at a good price.

Would have liked to open the windows or at least the blinds that were outside the windows, but couldn’t figure out how, so we couldn’t see outside. I think that problem might just be unique to the rooms on the first floor.

Location was right across from the station. Staff are really kind and helpful, but especially the breakfast guy. The beds are comfortable and the room is dark, quiet and cool at night. And we loved the James Bond theme in our room!

The noise. Every morning (inc weekend) the noise at 5pm from bin collection woke me up. The June music festival was on also which was fine (great atmosphere around city) but on the Friday night some people decided to have their own impromptu “rave” directly outside the hotel (midnight to 3am with an insanely loud personal speaker) and staff didn’t really care or seem motivated to help especially when I said I needed to sleep as I needed to be up at 5:30am.

No directions of where to park. Air conditioning didn’t work. Too many light’s from the air conditioner, smoke alarm and lights above a grille. Mini fridge wasn’t cold.

The bedroom was very small and the bathroom was almost bigger, I would have preferred a bit more room in the bedroom.

We arrived early evening by train and left early next morning to catch another train. I chose the hotel for the location, just opposite the main station, and this suited my purpose. Price was good.

The night watchmen was unnecessarily short and rude when we expressed our surprise that the front door was closed before 21h30, (the time we were told when checking in), he said it was from 18h00 which was nonsense as the following evening it was wide open at a similar time! The parking cost in the area is extraordinary (not under control of the hotel) but it was €54 for a day and a half in the hotel recommended Charles de Gaulle Parking.

The large bed was excellent, comfortable and “roomy”.

Single bed for child was not made up until 8 pm despite being booked for on booking. TV was not working. Leak in bathroom flooded floor overnight. Toilet seat was loose. Stains in carpet and sofa.

We chose a hotel near the main train station. They are usually cheaper because they are often not the greatest neighbourhoods but they are usually in the centre of town. The neighbourhood was not great and we failed to realise when making the booking that the main train station in Rennes is not in the centre of the city.

It wasn't expensive and it wasn't fancy. We just wanted a not too expensive place to sleep for one night. It was clean and comfortable. And the staff were helpful.
