Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe shower pressure wasn’t great and the breakfast items I found limiting. As a vegetarian, there is little choice other than fruit salad and pastries. We waited in the lounge/bar area for service of drinks for around 15 minutes and no one came.
The location was great being just in front of Le Havre train station. The staff were all friendly and polite.

IrelandNo parking at all. Two different visa cards were not accepted, AIB bank and Revolut. Had to go literally outside to an ATM and get cash. Queen bedroom extremely small, half meter around the bed was all the space. Could use a fridge in the room.
Very Clean. Placed in the city.

BelgiumBreakfast was a bit poor considering the price (16€). Disappointing choice in healthy and fresh products: just a small limted cheese variaty and zero fruit or veggies (usual cucumber, tomato ...). Abundant however in sweet ultra processed products (HUGE jam variety, Nutella, crêpes, pain au chocolat, honey, processes cereal, bacon ...). Not ideal for people who avoid sugar and want a healthier breakfast.
Room was very comfortable and cosy. I liked the modern feel to it and small touches: coffee and coffee maker in room, bathroom supply and several pillows with different sizes and hights to pick from depending on preference.

BelgiumPrice, a bit expensive for this area, quite far from the beach and restaurants. No parking.
Nice hotel, bed, clean bathroom, clean toilet. TV with English speaking channels. The breakfast was ok, not something to sing about, but better then in the most French hotels.

United StatesSmall room, location is not very near from the downtown area, not many things to do close to the hotel.
Very good breakfast. Nice staff, quiet room. If you arrive by train it is in front of Le Gare. Not so many things to do around the hotel or nice places to see and eat.

FranceThe rooms on the front of the hotel could be a bit noisy due to the trams starting at 5am, so if you want a quiet room avoid those. Our room 111 was a nice size and very clean, although the air-conditioning was noisy (gurgling noises) and the door to the bathroom did not close properly, so not very private sometimes (we forgot to mention that to the reception).
The staff were very friendly and professional, the breakfast was very good with a good choice. The room was clean and the cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. The parking under the station is huge and not very expensive, as the hotel doesn't have any spaces.

Francelocated on a busy avenue with no possibility to stop and drop-off luggages. Room 116 with no functional heating in the room and in the bathroom… with freezing temps outside. very small bathroom with water leaking from the shower. Average breakfast. Prefer the 115 which looked better. Finally the carpet colors…
very well located facing the railway station.

NetherlandsNot a lot of restaurant choices in the area. It’s common in France but I just do not really like the half only glass cover in the bathroom, it would still make the bathroom floor and some other parts wet.
Station is just across the street, very good location. Staff was really friendly and gave us recommendations and lend us charger (since we missed the train and decided to stay in Le Havre last minute..)

NetherlandsOur room (I believe it was 108) was very small. I didn't see any other complaints about this so I am guessing not all the rooms are the same size.
Conveniently located across the train station and close to the Vauban Docks shopping center. The hotel is recently renovated and everything is lovely and new and very well designed. Lea from the reception was absolutely lovely! Very kind and helpful.
