Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThis is no fault of the hotel, but there were no public buses from Limoges airport to the city centre where the hotel is located, which meant that we had to take a private taxi (30 Euro one-way) to get to the hotel.
Private toilet room inside the large spacious bathroom. Coffee machine provided in the room which can double up as an electric kettle. Coffee pods (and teas) replenished daily. Complimentary teas, coffees, biscuits and fresh fruits in reception area. Mini Carrefour shop next door to the hotel.

United KingdomBreakfast on the first morning wasn’t great as the buffet wasn’t replenished. However we mentioned it at reception and the two following mornings it was much improved.
Its location and able to park. All staff were helpful but the receptionist Cecile stood out as she was very welcoming, friendly with a great sense of humour.

United KingdomThere are around 8 steps from the entrance at street level to the reception area so lifting heavy cases up wasn't much fun!
We were able to park right outside the front door of the hotel on the street which was a bonus. The hotel had reserved us a space in their small car park but it turned out that we didn't need it. Our rooms were large enough with a decent sized bathroom and nicely equipped if a little dated. The man on reception who greeted us was friendly and helpful and recommended a lovely restaurant for dinner and kindly made a reservation for us.

United KingdomThe photo suggests the hotel has pleasant outdoor spaces but in fact it's squeezed into a very built-up street and feels very urban. The hotel feels very nondescript and plain, considering the price.
The staff tried to be helpful with charging our electric car, but the hotel charging point is so out of date it's not compatible with most cars. The room was fine - enough space and a large en suite. The walk into town is short. The breakfast options were many and varied.

United KingdomI had some difficulty finding the front entrance to the hotel, tricky in busy traffic. No fault of theirs though, but worth some time acquainting yourself with a street plan prior to arrival by car.
Well run hotel very conveniently situated close to the old centre of Limoges. Staff very helpful, room comfortable. Breakfast was good and varied. We enjoyed visiting the large Ceramics museum, only about 20 minutes walk away. Private car park is close and very secure.

United KingdomThe access for people using wheelchairs is a problem, but we solved it by using the rear tradespersons entrance. Once inside the hotel is completely wheelchair accessible
The location was perfect. 10 minute walk into the centre of town and to the river. The staff in the hotel were so friendly and helpful and spoke really good English. For a hotel in France the breakfast was quite good

United KingdomThe bed was excellent but the pillows were rock hard. Like bricks. Neck ache within 3 mins. Ended up folding a towel and sleeping on that. Not great but no other option. Also, we woke up hungry and really liked the idea of beakfast. Until we saw it! Went next door shop and bought fresh fruit and breakfast there instead.
Friendly staff, nice hotel, clean, excellent bed (but read below), great location.

United KingdomWas totally ignored in the morning by the morning receptionist; no greeting and didn't even look up when I checked out; was too busy chatting to a colleague. Breakfast was disappointing....
Receptionist who checked me in and helped me on the afternoon I arrived was wonderful! Garage/parking was great. Comfy room and great shower. Very quiet; even with a room overlooking the street, the room was quiet.

JerseyUsual gripe - poor water pressure in the shower. I'm not a fan of showering in baths, but I do understand that plenty of establishments wish to offer a cost-effective choice, so not having a separate shower cubicle is not necessarily a negative, but if you struggle with access, then do appreciate you would need to step into the bath to shower (at least in my room). The door from the bathroom to the bedroom was frosted glass, which wasn't a problem, but became a problem in the morning when the sun came up, since the shutters in the bathroom didn't close, and the bedroom became light early as a result.
Good-sized room, with comfortable bed, and reasonable facilities. Helpful staff, and decent breakfast. The walk into the main part of tourist Limoges is straightforward, albeit gently uphill. The area is a bit down at heel, but then I rather got that impression of Limoges as a whole. Still, as I was only passing through, and stayed only one night, it suited my purposes.

FranceThe room decor was sombre, dull and small for a four night stay. The price of breakfast for two was 32% of the cost of the room ! The room maid did not knock before coming into the room.
The reception staff were extremely friendly and very helpful, especially after we were charged for drinks we did not have. Easily solved.
