Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BelgiumWe checked in in the evening and staff wasn't very friendly but rather rude. Staff in morning was on the opposite very friendly. Not a lot of space for breakfast, people had to wait ! Projector in the room didn't worked well but after an hour , i was able to set the settings good again, probably the guest before had a lot of fun with the settings!
Very nice to find bath salt and bath oil. Also shampoo and other were from rituals what was very nice. Quite room and good beds!

United KingdomBreakfast was basic and options limited. There was also limited seating which caused an issue as it was a free for all, but the staff did what they could to help. There were guests smoking Cannabis which really stunk all day and into the night, strong and putrid. Took 2 rooms to escape it, definitely affected the enjoyment of the first couple of days. The rooms were a little tatty in places and could do with some care, a really shame as they were presented well, just lots of scuffs and bits not working.
The hotel was modern but still maintained Parisian boutique style. wonderfully decorated with modern twists. Definitely the high point we’re the staff, friendly (except the manager - that could do with some work), helpful (this includes the manager but only when pushed) and we’re a real pleasure to chat to. Breakfast tasted lovely.

The location was perfect, only a short walk from two metro station and plenty of shops and restaurants around - as a solo female traveler I felt very safe walking around this area, even at night! The staff were absolutely wonderful, they were on hand to answer any questions I had - whether that was to do with the hotel or just about the area and what to do. I found out I had been upgraded when I arrived at the hotel which was a wonderful surprise, the room was very large, a simple luxury in Paris - and was incredibly comfortable and had all the amenities you would need for a stay.

United KingdomThere was no chef for food other than breakfast which was disappointing. We were on the 4th floor and unfortunately the lift was out of order for the last 4 days of our stay. This was a major problem as I specifically looked for a hotel with a lift as I suffer from problems with my knee and my back. I feel staff weren't particularly apologetic about the situation. On checking out I asked for someone to take the bags which they agreed to, but I felt a reluctance, I could be mistaken, but as they weren't taken to the taxi which was waiting at the door, I feel I was right in my thinking. Coffee/tea and milk were not replenished in the room from the second day. Breakfast was served until 11am but if you arrived at 1030 many items were not available eg scrambled egg/fruit.
It was clean and beds were changed regularly.Room service staff were very pleasent. Breakfast was nice when all items were available. Staff were pleasent but when it came to 1040 they seemed very eager to clear the food away. The two female receptionists were extremely helpful and very pleasent. We were told the room we were given was an "upgrade" which was very kind. The location was great easy access to the metro lovely restaurants nearby a great convenience store and bakery also very close by.

IrelandOur room (606) was smaller than we had envisioned and had the toilet in one part of the room and the shower/sink in another part due to the small size. The floor plan suggested we had been unlucky in being given one of the smallest rooms.
A really lovely welcome. A really lively area (though the hotel is on a quiet road) with good restaurants and bistros nearby. Breakfast was good and was in a lovely reception room (though it could have done with a bit of extra replenishment for those there in the last 20-30 minutes). I left my phone charger by mistake and they emailed me that day to offer to hold it (for a year) or DHL it to me (at my expense), which was good of them. Our room was good and quiet, and it was always well cleaned.
