Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsBit noisy at times. The bed and pillow are not comfortable, they need serious change and update. Left with a terrible neck and back pain.
Cute property, nothing special. Just a cool student housing where they provide free rooms to tourists as well.

GermanyThere was no "do not disturb" sign, so they cleaned the room randomly even though I'd been told it was every other day. They also left the AC on at 18 degrees despite all the signs about conserving electricity.
The room was fairly well-equipped with a little 2-burner stove and some basic dishes. The bed was fairly comfortable, and I made good use of the provided closet space. There was also a laundry room and a gym in the basement. The breakfast was basic, but it got the job done if you chose strategically. Overall, for the price, I would recommend this place.

FranceBreakfast: Very limited choice for the breakfast. Juices are not natural, coffee is not good..The quality of the breakfast needs to be improved Room: Room cleaning and bed quality need to be improved. I think the ventilation system brings dust into the rooms.
The staff was friendly and very attentive. Quiet room. Location is good, bus and metro stations are closed to the hotel.

IrelandThe bed was a bit soft but ok. The room was small and spartan but to be fair it was excellent value for money. I had the breakfast one morning but it wasn’t for me.
Great location. It’s a bit of a walk to the historic centre of town, 25 mins maybe, but not a big deal as it’s a really nice walk. It’s right opposite the Valencia CF stadium and there was a match on while I was there. The atmosphere was amazing. It’s great value for money and would definitely recommend. The air con was perfect and the staff were friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe cleaning staff didn't want to do their job and tried their best to avoid cleaning at all costs. Anything you requested looked like it was a huge task and they backchatted when they needed to clean, in 5 nights they were only available to clean one day, if you were not ready to leave them clean the room earlier, they would do their best to avoid cleaning. It was a shame, because everything else, was perfect!
Location, quietness, reception staff very friendly and easy going.

United KingdomNot a grumble given all the positives mentioned above, but there was - perhaps unsurprisingly - something vaguely school- trippery about the whole experience of staying at the Colegio for my taste (63 yo man who's traveled quite a bit & tends to prefer things with as little structure as possible). Staff were efficient and polite without being super-approachable exactly, and while not wishing to over-egg this aspect there was a vague lingering atmosphere of regimentation especially around the breakfast routine. Breakfast was included in my overall deal, but this did not prevent me being required to participate in a somewhat bizarre (and still to me at the end of the week slightly unfarhomable) system of having to highlight my room number, collect and then deposit a token each morning for itself. The breakfast food itself was adequate but rather monotonous.
Very good, I'd wager near unbeatable, value for a week's solo stay - with rudimentary self catering, clean little studio & a teeny balcony and also near enough the centre of things & close to a number of stations on València's excellent Metro.

RomaniaBreakfast was poor, the facilities in the room were a little bit old. Coffee was not great but not terrible either.
It's a good private room with private bathroom at a fair price i think - considering that it's a pretty expensive city. It is good for modest requirements.

ColombiaThe thing where the water comes from in the shower was not too clean. Apart of that it was good!
The location of the place is great! Well connected to the city center by bus or 20/30 min if you want to walk. It is in front of the Mestalla stadium (Valencia C.F). There ia supermarket close to do the grocery. The room has a small kitchen which is useful for making light food

United StatesBetter mattress
Fantastic location and air conditioning in each room which is a rare find unless you're staying at an upscale hotel (I initially had booked an airbnb that claimed to have ac-it had a minisplit set at 80°F/27°C in the main living area but none of the bedrooms had ac and since there were multiple bookings, didn't feel safe to leave bedroom door open; hence the bedroom was extremely hot and I ended up booking at The Westin for a night). This facility was easy to find, very safe, included a basic breakfast (the sweet lady even accommodated my low carb diet and gave me eggs), the room came with a large dorm-sized fridge that even had a freezer compartment and everything you needed to cook a meal. Shower was spacious. The only negative was that the mattress was thin and I felt the metal springs. They also have laundry facilities with both washers and dryers and detergent; I used the drying rack on the outdoor area on the 7th floor to dry my laundry while I was out for the day. Highly recommend this place!

FranceTransport links to the my daily destination - Torres Serrans - were very poor (either indirect, circuitous or infrequent). I ended up having to either walk 30 mins in the burning sun or cycle.
Very comfortable room which had everything I needed. All the staff were excellent with a particular thank you to the breakfast staff who were exceptional. Thank you. The large balcony was a joy. The view on Mestalla Stadium was terrific , and I enjoyed the buzz on match nights (Saturday). The area was very pleasant.

FranceNo negatives really.
As the description says it is a student dorm converted into a hotel, the rooms are very large and have air conditioning and refrigerator which is great now in summer. It is across the street from the stadium and you have to take this into account, there might be heavy traffic and noise on match days. Breakfast was great and the canteen lady is a superhero
