Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWe absolutely loved our stay at Budino Serraseca and wished we had another day. The home is stunning, set in a peaceful forest with a babbling creek on property. The hosts were delightful, breakfast was delicious and their 2 donkey’s the cutest:) It was the perfect stopover on our Camino adventure. Would definitely return.

GermanyEverything was so so beautiful! I stayed one night on my Camino, and although it was a short time I felt really relaxed afterwards. Super friendly host, gave me a lift to restaurant close by, nice breakfast, and beautiful room. The whole place is surrounded by nature. The little creek running next to eat made me fall asleep even faster. I can totally recommend!

GermanyA really beautiful Spanish country house, which is run with a lot of love, also for nature, the pets (2 dogs & 2 donkeys) and togetherness. It is in a beautiful idyllic location and as it is a little further away from Oia/restaurants, we were offered a free private transfer to the restaurant by the friendly hosts. I would come back any time!

NorwayThe property is placed in the old part of the village, by the river and the area is rich of the green fields. The owners are lovely and kind, very helpful. The best we met on our Camino. The breakfast was delicious, everything was homemade. I highly recommend you staying in this place. This is only 800 m from Camino road.

United KingdomStunning house that felt like a home away from home. Beautiful place to stay and rest just near to the Camino trail. Our hosts were welcoming and helped us by giving us a lift to the town for dinner, which we were very grateful for especially as it was raining. Breakfast was perfect to start our walk.

United States of AmericaIf walking the Camino de Santiago, pay attention to the email the owners send you about how to get from the Camino road to the hotel in order to save yourself a long and steep climb. It is still a bit off the beaten path but the road they recommend is much better. For some reason the rooms became very warm in the night and it made sleeping a bit difficult.
the owners are very warm and helpful. There is a lovely living room area where our group was able to gather to chat and play games after dinner. The food for breakfast was very fresh and much was homemade.

GermanyAmazing breakfast and location. The owner even drove us to the restaurant in the evening and picked us up. My boyfriend forgot his jacket, had not recognized yet and the owner came with his car to bring it to him while we were already back on the caminho. They are doing a great job and gave us such a home feeling, it was the best stay of the caminho and the breakfast was so lovely! Thanks a lot, we will come again! :-)

SpainThe apartment felt cool and damp, it was raining heavily whilst we were there.
The breakfast was amazing, fresh walnuts, jams, homemade orange cake, yogurt and coffee. The best on the Camino. And spring water! Hosts were so helpful and kind. The apartment was a little musty but clean and spacious. Set in the woods with water trickling everywhere. Highly recommend it.

IsraelThis place is a bit out of the way and walking the Camino that is a big thing. However, when you get there and you see the beautiful garden and the perfect peace and quite it's already worth it. The hosts were something else. The place doesn't serve dinner but they offered to drive me to a nearby restaurant and back. I asked instead for some bread, cheese and wine and said I would be satisfied. They brough me out to the garden a beautiful tray with all I asked and more and I ended up spending hours in that garden. Really worth it :)

PortugalThe access is a bit tricky and there is no covered car park nor covered access to the rooms. Not easy for someone with accessibility problems, especially when raining.
Beware! Booking.com has the wrong map and it will take you all the way up to Pontevedra! Use Google instead. Breakfast was enough and well presented, although not a copious affair. It lacks some protein, which might be a game changer if you are planning a day out trekking. The location is perfect for nature lovers, in the mountains between Baiona and Oia. The old house has been tastefully refurbished and our room was small, but very cosy and charming. Good shower, all very clean and exceptionally nice bedlinen. The lounge is also very nice and the space outdoors is very invinting.
