Nothing really. It was a little hard to find, but that could have been the fault of our taxi driver. We did have an interesting tour of Sosua on the way, however. :-)

The room was comfortable and quiet. Nikki is a lovely host. Breakfast was great. We were only there for 12 hours - a last minute, emergency booking - but it was the perfect place to decompress a little and relax.

Breakfast was cheap and very tasty, prepared on the spot from fresh ingredients. Niki (the host) was a very kind and helpful person. She made the whole stay so much better and the next time I think about going to DR, she will be the first person I will contact.

We booked Garden by the Sea at the last minute to spend a few days at the beach. We left feeling like we visited long lost family for the weekend! This place is a gem. Nikki is the most delightful host; warm, helpful, great suggestions for restaurants, etc. The property is lovely and peaceful, steps from a small, quiet beach. The pool area is very nice and the room is a very good size with lots of small amenities and touches. Can't say enough good things. Thank you Nikki, we will be back!

The breakfast was very delicious, and I appreciated the access to a self-service bar, especially since there weren't many other options within walking distance. However, most of my previous travels have been throughout Europe, and I am used to breakfast being included in the room price rather than a separate expense. The drink prices were also inexpensive compared to most U.S. prices but a bit on the expensive side compared to what you would typically see in a local bar.

Though there aren't many restaurants or shops within quick walking distance, I chose the location, because it is very close to the friend I was visiting. It is also close to a beach access point, which had very little foot traffic most of the time I was there, making it feel more private. The property itself was beautiful and peaceful, and Nikki and her team were such great hosts.

Great welcoming host with friendly dog, beautiful patio with the pool, hamack and even chairs you can take with you to the nearby beach. Clean rooms, drinkable water avaliable for you all the time, bar were you take whatever you want and pay after. Very friendly atmosphere.

Nikki was very friendly and helpful. It is in a very quiet area. I did not have a car so you need to take a motoconcho or taxi to go into town and to the beaches. Again , the owner Nikkie, was extremely friendly and helped me to get taxis to get me where I needed to go.

Garden By The Sea is a cute cozy nook steps away from a stunning and pretty much private beach. Rooms here are spacious and immaculate!!!! Hotel provides all I needed for a comfortable day at the beach. I love the outdoor kitchen and option to cook my own meals. Staff here are Lovely. Did I mention the rooms are immaculate....
