Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThe only downsize i saw is that room had no windows. Only a door that lead to an outside shared balcony. But this is something that you can observe from the photos and i already knew about. The hotel is transparent about that. The pillows were strange. Hard to sleep on , weird shape.
The location of the hotel is in walking distance of Europa Park. Has a restaurant down stairs. Parking spaces for Hotel guests. Room cleanness. The room has a TV. The hotel has an elevator if needed. Has a good value for money breakfast.

A nice room with enough space. The beds are good also for big people. Even the bathroom is big enough.

BelgiumAt the time we were visiting it was quite warm. The hotel did not have air conditioning. So it was quite warm in the room. At night we opened the window which did cool down the room. But it took quite some time before the room cooled down. The television only had German, Turkish television channels on it. In the lobby they have a marble staircase with just a few rungs on it. I fel nearly twice there, so make sure to watch out where you are going. The shining marble makes it difficult to see where the rungs end. The elevator was very slow but it worked. Oh well, it was a machine from the previous century.
The location of the hotel was ideal for the purpose of our journey: visiting Europapark. The hotel was at walking distance of the theme park. We had breakfast at the hotel. You didn't have a very extensive choice, but the food was of good quality: a variety of bread, croissants, marmalades, egg, cereals and fruits. In the breakfast restaurant they even had an orange juice machine with which you could get a glass of freshly squeezed organge juice. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly and hard working. The staff at the lobby was very German: stringent but helpful. We had a nice room for two with all the basic facilities. The room interiour was old fashioned, including a dark grey sink and toilet in the bathroom. But it all added up to the charm of the place. The room was very clean and you were given fresh towels and bed linen every day. In the hotel they have their own restaurant which serves great quality dishes. I ate bbq spare ribs and prawns the two evenings we were there. It was delicious. The restaurant has its own terrace in a quiet street. The hotel also has its own parking where guests could park their car. This really saved us parking costs at Europapark.

SwitzerlandNot really a complain, but if asked for an idea to perfection, could the key chain be lighter or more handy? Anyway, it is not really a big deal if you plan to use a handbag around.
Nice atmosphere in the hotel and in the surroundings. Very helpful, kind and attentive hotel service and administration, with our stay, we even got the Rust discount ticket for some Europapark show. The room was clean and comfortable.

Greece-It was very loud during the night. Unfortunately they are offering rooms above the bar, so we could not actually sleep at all. - sound is generally a problem, since the place is old - communication before check in was not ideal: We booked a room with parking close to the entrance of Europa Park. The room was with no free cancellation. After paying we found out that you cannot leave the car on their parking on the day you visit Europapark. You have to move it to the Europapark entrance. We booked parking in Europapark online but then the hotel gives you upon arrival a 2euro tax card that can be used in Europapark for parking. In my opinion this should be communicated right from the start, or have some cancellation policy, if someone does not agree.
-Room was clean -Check in was fast

ItalyDo yourself a favor and stay somewhere else further away and pay for the parking at the park. I rely on reviews to pick hotels and was sadly let down by the positive reviews of this hotel. There is no AC in the hotel so windows must stay open for temperature comfort. We stayed for 2 nights, both nights had loud patrons of the bar downstairs sitting below our window and not being mindful that it was 2am. No attempt was made to control the noise. Then trucks for trash or deliveries came at 7am, did not allow adequate rest for the family between park trips. The ability to walk to the park did not matter much as we could have stayed further away comfortably and cheaper and paid for preferred parking at the park and still saved money compared to this location. Hotel is completely outdated and in need of renovation, but is clean. Parking is not at the hotel and is about a 5 minute walk away. Man at the front desk was extremely rude at check in to the point that I almost forfeited the money for the reservation and booked elsewhere.
