The shared places were not always clean, breakfast tables were left in a mess by other guests, so it was difficult to find a clean spot.

The hostel is quite conveniently located, it was easy to get to town from there via public transport. Breakfast was nice and inexpensive. The room was basic but spacious enough and, most importantly, clean. You can have a drink or a meal in the lounge at the reception, and there are a lot of settees, tables and some games so that guests can spend time and have fun together at night. It's ideal for youngsters, and was full of student groups.

Not sure if I picked the wrong time of year but there was loads of young people, school trips maybe, kept me up until past midnight screaming, running etc. usually wouldn’t mind but everything in the hallways were projected into the rooms.

The plugs on my bed didn’t work, neither did the lockers. Could do with another lift and the stairs show calories burned on them, can’t believe that would be allowed anymore. Also the gentleman checking you in was miserable! But the lady and the younger man were very polite

The building was so big that I understand that it's complicated to keep track of the visitors. Sadly, the visitors were running and playing on the corridors.

Could be better connected by public transport, but it is still manageable, even with a kid.

This is a place for travellers who need a comfy bed and a shower. The hotel is walking distance from Berlin Ostbahnhof, East Side Gallery and also the Museumsinsel (this is a longer walk, about 25min). The staff is super friendly and helpful. Even though most guests we've seen were (very) young, the nights were quiet, everyone met with respect, I can only recommend it. Good value for the price.

Key card went out of order all the time. One elevator was constantly out of order. It would be nice if cleaning will be held more often.

The overreliance of app usage to check in or order food makes the process more complicated. It would be better to allow visitors the option to either use the app or do these in person.

There were only USB ports by the beds so if you need to charge your phone with a plug it can't be done overnight. The room was very warm and with the windows open, very noisy. Breakfast was poor and very busy (not worth 11€)

The bedroom was clean; I was in shared room x6, and there was a toilet plus a bathroom with a shower. The communal/bar area was nice and well equipped with charging stations and plugs. The staff were helpful and friendly. Good value for money!

Can get quite noisy since there are many groups or young people. Beds aren’t very comfortable (blankets are short and pillows just too soft).

Not expensive and good service. Also conveniently situated for my needs and easy to reach from the airport. The laundry is perfect: it’s cheap and quick to do.

There are only two elevators and one of them was busted, so if you end up on fifth floor like us, be prepared to walk a lot! The parking spaces are too few and even though we tried to reserve them in advance, we got ghosted by the hotel, so we ended up parking couple blocks away. While the important parts of the room (bed & bathroom) were in great condition and clean, the rest not so much - the walls were literally scratched and dented, the chairs had stains on them and the table had both scratches and stains.

The location was the main driver for us and depending on where you wanna go and what you wanna see, it might be for you as well. The rooms are teeny tiny, but enough if all you need is a place to sleep (although having to bend my head under the sink when I was using the toilet was not fun, I managed). I must also say that the important places were super clean (beds & bathroom). The hostel also has a very spacious common area where you can lounge, play, work and eat pretty much all day long. They offer some food and drinks there (which we did not try) and have plenty of vending machines for nightly munchies. There is also pleasant staff on hand to help you deal with your checkin and issues, so thumbs up for that!

The doors for each corridor make a A LOT of noise while closing, not the best for the first room of the corridor...I woke up at 3am and 4am with loud bangs because people would just close the door unaware of the loud noise that it would make. Perhaps it would be a good idea to put a sign there for people to be more careful?

It's a very busy place with lots of teen groups milling and lolloping about blocking every entranceway they can. The twin room was super-compact: much smaller than the example room in the pics. Clothes storage could be improved: just two hangers and two hooks. There's only one lift up from main reception, so be prepared for a wait or a walk. Minor complaints - overall, the place is fine if you're not too bothered by kids being kids.

Good location, the other side of the Spree from the East Side Gallery and the Ostbahnhof station (direct to/from the airport). A few minutes from Heinrich-Heine-Strasse U-Bahn station, a couple of stops to Alexanderplatz. The bar is open till 4am serving drinks and snacks, which is handy if you arrive late. A 0.5L draft Pilsner was less than 4 euros, so great value too. We requested a quiet room and it was nice and peaceful. I get the impression other blocks/floors are quite noisy though.

Rooms were extremely small, it was very awkward to use the bathroom with the door closed. They were not as clean as expected either.
