To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

FinlandThe shower booth is smaller than anything I have ever seen in my life. I'm a tall man, not exactly obese, but I have a bit of a pudge. It took all my strength to squeeze myself through the shower booth doors. However, once in there, I could barely move, and when I dropped my sponge, I had to open the doors just so I could kneel down the grab it. Basically, if you've ever enjoyed a nice bacon sarnie or eat chocolate more than once a year, you're never ever going to fit into that shower booth.
A decent and relatively central location, the hotel is very clean and well kept, there's a grocery store in the building next door, so if you're travelling on a budget and prefer to buy something to eat from the store instead of hitting restaurants, that's certainly a bonus.

CanadaThe single beds were very close together. Perhaps a 12 inch to 14 inch table between. The shower was very very small but clean and good pressure. The area is not great for restaurants really. Close to the Airport bus however. The deodorizer spray the use in the halls is very strong. Use less Our bedroom wimdow had bars on it and looked out on a wall.
It was incredibly clean. The beds were good. Lots of lights elecyrical sockets etc. Good for a short stay .it was really quiet. We had a good night sleep. Free tea and coffee.

Very good location, public transportation is just in 100 meters. Easy to find this hotel if you come at first. It is possible to reach lot of interesting places by foot. There are supermarkets and shops around. Room is clean. It is possible to have tea or coffe in the kitchen. We stood one night. I can say, it is good hotel for its price.

LatviaWe were not really bothered, but the shower was leaking somewhere and toilet ring was slipping away when using. But again, not really a problem.
Loved everything. We were checking in later than expected, but it was possible to check in remotely. There were free hot drinks available. The room was nice and we have never seen this level of cleanliness in any booking. The area is nice, there is a lot of locals and there are nice local places to go for a meal. Bus stop in front of entrance in building.

The staff was always available through WhatsApp and responded quickly. Check in and registration was online and quite easy. Staff sent detailed instructions and videos of how to open the doors with the PIN and how to find the room. There was a vending machine with water and snacks, a microwave, coffee machine and electric tea kettle. Also plastic utensils available. While there is no breakfast in the hostel, there are good places to eat around it, such as Rincon de Sanabria. There is a discount for people who stay in the hostel. There is also a groceries store below the hostel.

SpainThe room had a blind window overlooking a wall.and the clothes hangers were child size,a bit too small for adults' items.
Hostal Nova is a wonderful small hostel-we were received by Anna with a warm welcome-the check-in and check-out process was a breeze-the room and bathroom were spotless clean and welcoming-the keys to get in and out were very easy to use and the ( free) coffee delicious-definitely our choice again when back in BCN.

Hostal Nova Barcelona is a very clean and friendly place. Anna is a very pleasant, helpful and sweet lady. The bathroom sink has nice soaps for the hands, and the shower had a place (stainless steel basket) to put the body wash and shampoo, which. is unusual in Spain, at least in the hotels we stayed thru Booking.com. So, having this basic necessity was very nice. The bus stop to Barcelona Sants train station is just outside the Hostal. The other thing I want to mention is that the staff did a very good job keeping our luggage in the Hostal for about 1 week (a trip outside Spain) before we actually stayed at the Hostal.

IndiaThe check-in was messed up by the facilitator, there was an online check-in option which he didn't pefer initially, argued for physical copy of the documents and was not accepting the digital copy and insisted to get approval documents from the nearest police station. When my friends took the option if getting the document from the police station and headed towards the police station. Half way through the facilitator requests them to come back and does the online check-in. Total waste of time, energy and ruined everyone's peace of mind.
Amazing hostel, very clean and tiedy. Loved the rooms and the washrooms.
