Didn't like the old smell in the room. Light bulbs on the bed and in bathroom needs to change. Old furniture does it make not really pleasant. Strangely, the credit card machine did not work 2 times. He wanted cash money. The price was higher obviously a big event going to happen which I am not sure about it. The shower head is so old and it jets the water in different directions. Doesn't cost that much to replace this cheap shower head anyway. And not to forget the TV. Too small and the tv stations availabilities did suck.

    Reception person was friendly.

Confusion at check in and with enquiries. Twin room booked but double room offered on arrival. Changed after some negotiation. Staff unable to manage some basic requests without a lot of explanation.

Shower head and fitting needed replacing. Would be better to have access through front door at all times, rather than the back. We needed dessert spoons for the cereal rather than teaspoons.

Location very central. Good selection of food at breakfast. Clean.

Very poor value for money. Costs a lot for a very dated basic room compared with towns in the rest of the region.

Great location for all the tourist attractions in Worms. Room was clean and the staff were friendly.

the person in reception could have been more welcoming. he should smile a bit more, after all the customers are what keeping there. on Thursday when checking in I was asked when I want to have breakfast and was given the time options of 7.00 to 10.00. however. he did not mention that on Saturday breakfast is at 8.00. when handing back the keys no comment whatsoever, as if we never existed. need to work on the customer relationship.

hotel is in the center. walking distance from all the main attractions. very clean and comfortable.

The hall ways were a little dark. I am all for saving energy but it was a little creepy as a single woman to walk down a dark hallway to her room.

Great location, very central and nearby to shopping and many restaurants! This place had all the basics covered - a new bathroom and nice bed.

Do not go here if you you actually want to sleep. Our window was on the inner courtyard side- that should have been peaceful. It wasn‘t. The management lives in the building. They had what seemed like a loud family party in the courtyard at around 11pm, cooking something spicy and deep fried. The fumes rose straight up to the courtyard guest rooms. It was disgusting. Like living over a cheap, stinking restaurant. Closing windows made no noise or smell difference. We heard guests’ conversations in neighboring rooms bec of the ultra-thin walls. I hated it. Positive- the sheets seemed properly laundered.

    Right in town

Very noisy at night, very unsavoury shouting in the corridor in the middle of the night (drunk men shouting at women about stealing money!!) Reception was still closed at 8am in the morning when we wanted to check out, we had to ring the door bell for ages and shout for the owners so we could at least give back the keys- finally a very sleepy child appeared from one of the rooms and said they were the owner’s son, so we had no other option other than to pass the key to a child! Clearly no breakfast available despite Booking.com advertising it. String cooking smells. There is something very wrong with this hotel!!!

    Clean room

The Central Hotel is an older, but unique property in a great location in historic Worms.

We didn’t realize that the windows were open for ventilation and the room was chilly until we closed them. The radiator in the bathroom worked, but we weren’t sure the one in the bedroom was. It may have been controlled by the hotel, but once we closed the windows, we did not get cold. The small parking garage was secure with a manual key pad/code, but it was more like an old brick cave and hotel storage area. There was barely room for 6 small vehicles, and thankfully, there were only 2 there! We prayed that the garage would be standing in the morning! Thankfully, all was well. We took photos and laughed about it afterwards!

The Central Hotel was a unique property in an older building located in the historic district of Worms. The price and location drew us to stay there. The elevator was small and the 3 of us had to make 2 trips to get to our floor, a minor inconvenience. Our room was accommodating and there was a hot water pot and tea that we thoroughly enjoyed. The double room had separate beds, a wardrobe, coat hooks, electrical outlets, and a desk/chair. The tiled bathroom was standard for Germany with a shower. Each room had a window that opened to a square courtyard that were the backs of several buildings. The Wi-Fi was secure and fast! The small parking garage was interesting.

Horrible, inflexible staff. They don't respond to inquiries, which caused me to end up canceling late because I was waiting for their reply. They are all about grabbing that nonrefundable money, no matter what. Stay away.

There is nothing to note. For the price, it was definitely a bargain! It is an older hotel, so it is not all glitzy glass and chrome, but we enjoyed that, too, that it was more old-fashioned and cozy.

The location is ideal--right at the beginning of the main shopping street and just a block from the cathedral! They have a small, secure parking garage, directly behind the hotel, which we were able to use for free. The beds were firm and the shower was hot! Breakfast was a small buffet, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They even checked us in immediately, though we arrived during their afternoon break.

The breakfast is minimal though few people seem to book it. The limited check in time - 1400-2000 required me to request a late check-in at the property at 2200. Three requests to the hotel went unanswered so l booked my first night in the area at another hotel.

My first room had poor internet due to its distance from the router. A new room was readily provided.

Parking provided is limited to 5 cars, so if you arrive in the evening, you might face a situation when you will have to park your car in the city parkhaus. It is located within 5 min walk, but you will have to pay. Parking in the hotel garage might be a challenge, too as the space is rather limited. Sometimes you may feel a smell of sewage or feel damp like it could be in old houses, in rainy weather.

Great location, with major sightseeing sites and a railway station within a walking distance
