LOCATION! Right in front of the park that runs along the beachfront. The ocean is steps from the front door. Beautiful porch and deck facing the ocean. Good standard breakfast included. The rooms were roomy and the courtyard and patios all open air and really channelled the beach vibe. Walking distance to everything in the city. I was diving with Rocket Frog and their boat launched from the beach directly in front of the hotel, so that was a pleasant and convenient surprise.

Not having a/c took a night or two to get used to. Each room does have a standing fan and a ceiling fan that you run throughout the night. The windows are small. But, you don't spend much time in the room - there are so many outside areas to find a cozy place to relax - on one of the two big hammocks, in the lounge bed, or at the tables on the balcony. There are also books there to read. The showers don't have warm water - but you don't notice that at all as you wash the sand and sweat off. The beds were quite wide and comfortable - lots of pillows.

The beach and the narrow public park/open space that existed along the entire boardwalk was the only thing between the hotel and the ocean. Perfect location. Close to all amenity's to walk to feeling safe - the boardwalk was always lively and there are restaurants right off of it including the Fish Spa. My kids played basketball at the public court while we had breakfast and watched from the balcony - the people everywhere were so friendly. Supplies were at the hotel free to use and return (e.g., basketball, lawn chairs, pool noodles, etc.). The breakfast was fantastic with your choice of rice and beans, or pancakes, yoguart and/or granola. Excellent coffee and juice. The hotel arranged for our airport pick up / drop off for $50US each way total for my family of 4 (20-30mins). If you're craving a pool, there is the Coco Resort where you can walk to and buy a day pass ($15). The ocean was cool in temperature and shallow and mainly calm. There are feet washing stations (& showers) all along the boardwalk - this is always where you meet any water day trips that you've booked. We stayed 7 nights.

Saturday night is worse night to stay; but not their fault the neighbourhood bar plays music crazy loud

Location is unbeatable, breakfast more than adequate, friday night was perfect. Saturday night live music in bar behind is loud and till 300am so bring earplugs.

Cleanliness, staff

Free breakfast was good - even if you don't have the free breakfast, it is such a minimal cost there it is pointless to go anywhere else. Location is the best in all of Coco, literally across the street from the beach, you walk right over into the ocean. Cleanliness was poor - I stayed 4 nights and my room was never cleaned. Not very quiet either and staff not incredibly friendly. Upstairs veranda is amazing.

The room is quite hot and even with the fans it is hot to sleep in. Also, the shower doesn't seem to heat up.

-The only food at hotel is all day breakfast. -There is no hot water in hotel rooms. -The ventilation in the rooms is limited, there is 2 fans, but only 2 small slotted windows for fresh air, i ended up putting a fan up to the slots to get air moving in. -Only one english channel on TV. Overall i liked everything about the hotel except the no hot water part. I would probably look somewhere else if i came back here, somewhere with hot water, but i would return here if i need to, other then hot water it was a nice place. *like this review if the info helps*

I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of a 2 week vacation in Costa rica, in Oct 2022. -It is a nice open air theme hotel, great location on the beach and on a quiet dead end street. Great view from balcony of beach. -They arranged taxi pickup and dropoff for me before arrival, Martha was the driver, 50$USD one way (100$ total). It was about 20-30 min drive from liberia airport. Martha was very nice. -I arrived around 1230pm, and the check in desk is not open until 1pm, so i went out for lunch. I returned and checked in, paid, and went to my room. -My room was number 29 i believe, the front corner room upstairs. Its a nice sized room, with mini fridge and TV, Fan. suited my needs. -its nice that breakfast is included, they give you a card to redeem for a free breakfast. I had fresh fruit for breakfast, it was great. The server was nice. - I asked one of the desk attendants how to get up the hill to the west to get a picture of the bay, and she told me i should go to the other side, the east, and there is a great spot to see Coco beach and hermosa beach at the same time. And she was right, the bike ride up there was nice and the view of the bay was amazing. -There is a guard at the door at night. -I came from Drake bay and most of my clothes were soaking wet so i had laundry done by hotel, including my travel back pack which was probilly starting to get mold. It all came back perfectly clean the next day and dry, great service. It cost me 17$ US. -I could lock my rented bicycle up in the courtyard.

Sadly, after a long (long) day of travel, I really needed rest. The common area was right outside my room, and while people were quiet during the day, a group decided to sit and listen to music for hours from their phone speaker. Since I went to sleep early, I put in my earplugs and understood others were still active. But, this road is also used for what sounded like racing, motorcycle engines revving, etc. Outside my window, people on the balcony were hollering down until 11pm. Getting a good night's sleep was very challenging, and I needed to start my day extremely early. Otherwise, I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, a beautiful hotel, directly across from the beach. Walkable into town, secure parking, and the room was cozy and sweet just as I'd hoped after a long day of travel. I lived in CR for 5 years until recently, and this hotel exceeded my expectations. Very clean, well-appointed, and spacious, with a window in my room facing the ocean right across the street. I really recommend the hotel itself.

Area in the city: it was a little bit dodgy. The street was dark, not well maintained and a bit abandoned. By night, still ok to go back to the hotel walking but not an enjoyable experience

Air conditioning would have been nice but I understand that would increase the price. The fans in the room made it work out fine in the end.

Breakfast was great. Could have been served a little earlier but 7:00 wasn’t too late. Private, secure parking was also very much appreciated.
