IrelandAnine was the most amazing host and we couldn't have planned our trip without her! We arrived late on our first night and she stayed up with us to book our day trip for the following day and gave us loads of information for our trip and about the hotel. When we returned from our trip, she spent another long amount of time helping us plan our next day trip and managed to book us a private driver so we could squeeze in everything we wanted to do in time. Although Anine speaks a small amount of English, she has an amazing translator which helped us communicate really well. The hotel has washing machines and dryers which are complimentary for guests to use too. It's in a great location and walking distance to loads of shops and malls.

Also, this hotel is located in the center of the city and Starbucks, KFC, and McDonald's are within walking distance. I strongly recommended this hotel!

The staff was very friendly and helpful even if they are not english speakers, they were used to translate everything with their mobiles. They helped us to book our visit to Tianmen mountain, they have suggested good restaurants and sites to be visited. The breakfast was good and freshly prepared and finally they allowed to leave our luggages at their place all day since we had our flight in the late evening. I strongly suggest to stay there.

The hotel has a vintage appeal, located in the prime location with a lot of restaurants. The rooms are good. They offered us a delicious breakfast and the hotel has a washer and dryer.

Good Location. Room was very clean. Boutique type of hotel with very nice and relaxed atmosphere. Girl at the desk Anine, was extremely friendly and helpful. She has organised for me 5 days of activities in all must to see places around Zhangjiajie. And everything was done by Chinese-English handheld translator. I couldn’t have asked for more helpful and friendly staff at any hotel. Love the place and highly recommend to anyone traveling on the budget.

United KingdomThere is a sign on the door of your room warning you not to engage in various illegal activities. The fact that the sign is there did make me worry that people may have done dodgy stuff at this hotel in the past.
The hotel was in a convenient location in the center of town, with plenty of access to shops and restaurants. You can also walk down the river front (approx 15 mins walk), which is a pretty place for a stroll during the day and night. For those who don't mind walking, it is also possible to walk to the entrance for Tianmen Shan mountain (35 mins) and to the central bus station from where you can travel to Zhangjiajie National Park (40mins walk). In terms of breakfast, there is only one breakfast option that you can preorder for the morning. When we stayed there, it was eggs, toast, bacon, broccoli, and fruit. It is possible to ask for some tweaks. For example, I am vegetarian so I asked to swap my bacon for an egg. The breakfast is nice, but it is probably cheaper to eat at one of the nearby Chinese breakfast places.
