Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceThe one thing that I didn’t like was that although the rooms were fairly priced, everything else was charged triple at what it should be. Having an extra bed in the room cost as much almost as the room itself. The restaurants were quite expensive. don’t ask me what dry cleaning cost, etc. The other qualm was that there were times when the line to get into the breakfast room was a bit long. If you get there early, you’ll have the whole whole place to yourself. But if you get there at 9 AM, you might have to wait.
So this is the Ritz Carlton. Of course it’s great. The positive feelings for the accommodation start right as you enter the main gate, and you can appreciate the lush landscape and Chinese/tropical architecture as you drive up to the entranceway. The staff are always there waiting to help you with everything you need. Check-in was a little bit slow and cumbersome, but not everything of course is ever perfect. We had two rooms and they were very well equipped, very clean and very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the Bathrooms were perfectly laid out and the showers were always nice and hot! The Wi-Fi throughout the hotel worked very well and in the room it was high speed. There is so much to say about this hotel because there were so many things to do, but I will just mention that the swimming pools were very nice. One was super long. The beach was a little bit of a problem since the beach right at the hotel was rocky and, the hotel staff asked you to use the neighboring beach, which was quite nice. It Is possible to go and swim in the sea although the water was a bit musty and it was fairly wavy. But the sand was very nice. We spent most of our time at the swimming pools. our child went to the kids club and he liked it very much and always wanted to go back the next day. The kids club staff were very helpful and friendly. Also The breakfast food is absolutely fantastic. Maybe the best part about the hotel complexes is Its lush surroundings, and beautiful views of the sea. Make sure to get a sea view room at a higher floor.

NetherlandsWestern breakfast options could improve. Even though the hotel was not full we had to wait 10 minutes to be able to check in, be seated for breakfast and to check out. Pool food is of low quality and way overpriced. overall the service should be much better and is not up to standard. There is a lot of staff, but they just stand there and not doing much and not being pro-active. Exception is the breakfast staff.
Nice facilities and comfortable rooms. Breakfast staff does a good job.

ChinaThe Villa deck could have used some updates (many loose boards). Also, there were many trees surrounding the villa pool. This made it hard to get sunlight on the pool maybe consider cutting/trimming some of them down.
Overall, my stay at the Ritz was very enjoyable and relaxing! The food was delicious and the beach is nice. Jarvis, my butler, was very accommodating and always made sure we had everything we needed. Also, the AYI’s who were in charge of cleaning the villa 李丹丹 and 池芳娟 were great! They worked very hard and made the villa clean and tidy everyday even when it was short staffed. This was my second time at the Ritz and it was wonderful.

ChinaThis was our second visit to Ritz Carlton. The service level was just exceptional. The staff working there like William, Nanncy, Mikael, Lynn and many others just stood out for us. The service level compensated any other short comings. Our flight was on 6 August back to Shanghai, the staff namely William took exception actions to support us to get to the airport. Even though our flights were eventually cancelled due to Sanya lock down.

Chinaall about the Rooms is great. bfast is great too but the rest of F&B is overrated!.. and poor. sand grill is total rip-off. poor Caesar salads, trio fish.. it’s barely above family mart (sorry). Italian fine dining is also average for the prices. better go to Capella for a nice dinner.
great location if you want a beach. do play volley ball! the staff will be happy to play with you. it’s a massive place . 450 rooms. bfast can be busy but flow is well organized.

ChinaWe prefer more intimate settings - this hotel is perfect for families: lots of pool activities, kids club, and open areas!
Great room facilities! We loved the bed, bath and beyond. It was raining during our stay so being cozied up in a comfortable and very spacious room was perfect! Great Christmas ambiance - we really enjoyed how festive the the hotel was - really put us in the xmas spirit! Also, breakfast was delicious!!!!!!

FranceStaff' service and attitude are not bad, but it is simply not as good and professional as what you would expect from a luxury hotel such as Ritz Carlton: - very poor service for breakfast - waiting line was chaotic - took them one hour to serve drinks at bar while they had plenty of staff and very few customers. But they were just standing there and chatting to each other, forgetting they were supposed to prepare cocktails we ordered. We had to ask 3 times - they let kids playing and throwing balls violently right at the swimming pool. Accident can so easily happen... Took them literally 40min before asking kids to stop
It is a nice resort

ChinaNo one at the hotel speaks English. Only one manager at breakfast time was able to speak with us. We had to communicate with the staff using our phone translator, unbelievable in a Ritz-Carlton chain hotel. The service was terrible, they were even rude to us sometimes. We had dinner in the lobby restaurant and the waitresses by mistake brought 3 cocktails to the table instead of two (it was her mistake, not ours). we asked her to leave the cocktail there to fill up a little bit more our glasses (the Margaritas we got were literally less than half of the glass.. a complete rip-off) and she said in a very rude way: NO! later she throws the drink in the sink in front of our faces. on purpose obviously, she wants us to see that, unbelievable.!! A person like that cannot be working in a Ritz hotel or not even in a B & B. guests deserve some respect... When you pay a fortune for a room, for a glass or wine or for having dinner there, you expect other kind of treatment. it took us more than 2 hours to have our dinner ready and all the dishes came at different time. this means that when some of us already finished our food, other people in the group didn’t have they courses yet. not to mention the prices at the restaurant, very expensive and the quality was terrible... In sume, it was the worst experience at a Ritz Hotel ever. if you are staying at Yalong Bay, try Marriott. much better service and nicer staff. on the other hand, that part of the beach it’s no nice, it has not sun beds in front of the sea like the other hotels in Yalong Bay (Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton, MGM) but definitely the best hotel in Sanya: CLUB MED. Foreigners are welcome there, if you’re not Chinese, Ritz is not your place. they treat us as a second class citizen...
nothing. the experience was so bad that I cannot tell anything I really like
