In my room at least, while it was very clean, some of the FF&E are probably from the hotel's inception 18 years ago. Thus even with the best of intentions, some features will need renovation, for example faucets, bed sets, lighting and TV systems.

As I am an 'old China hand' I am very familiar with, and fond, of Chinese food, therefore I really enjoyed the Chinese buffett offerings. The hotel's location is very convenient for people wishing to be a central location in the 'old' city with close proximity to Taishan and other scenic sites, also for government for those on official visits. The hotel is generally very clean and well maintained. The entire exterior structure was being repainted whole I was there. The staff are genuine and welcoming in all areas of guest contact. But foreign guests need to be relealistic about language ability of front line service staff. Duty Managers and most Reception staff English is very adequate. Chief Concerige has good English.

When we arrived at 10 Pm, the restaurant and the bar was closed at 9:30, we did not like that. Then you need to go to the room, it is not very nice.

The breakfast was complete and nice. It is of course outside the big cities, so it is more difficult to expect Western food. It was very busy, but in fact that is nice.

I was double charged for my room, long story short I had to get my money back from booking.com because the hotel made me pay for my room again! I had explained to the girl at the front desk that but she assured me that what I paid to Booking.com was just my depsoit ( it wasnt, it was the whole amount). Anyway after dealing with booking.com I got my money back from them, I appreciate how quick and easy it was resolved through them though. Due to this issue I wouldn't personally stay there again if I were to return to Tai'an but seeing that no one else has had this issue that I can see maybe others won't have this happen in the future?

Look the place was good, a little dated but the breakfast and dinner were incredible. Staff were very friendly and helping, excluding what I have written below.

- This is an old hotel. You can tell that when you walk in but the stay was very comfortable! Nothing to complain about really.

- Great location if you start climbing Tai Mountain from Tianwaicun. - Friendly, professional hotel staff! Gave us suggestions and answered a lot of my questions for the mountain and the commute, before our arrival. - Comfortable bed! - Decent prices!

They have a lot of facilities and two restaurants. The four seasons is reasonable and tends to adapt to all different tastes; the Chinese Restaurant is very good, more expensive but it is worth to go: their Beijing Kaoya (Duck) is exceptionally good and the chef sliced it next to your table. Amazing! A special thank for my excellent stay goes to Ms. Liu Ella, working at the reception: she's extraordinary professional, helpful and did everything was possible to make my trip to Qufu and the Tai Shan the best possible. I definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Tai'An.

Not the cheapest I suppose, but it was worth the money

Good location close to the mountain, the food was excellent and the staff were incredibly friendly. The rooms were modern and comfortable as well.

Rooms were very large, clean and with all facilities, including bathtub and shower. The four seasons restaurant self service is an up to standard restaurant, with very kind and helpful staff. The other restaurant, the Chinese one, was really excellent. Furthermore the swimming pool and the sport centre were of high level as well. Since the very beginning we had an excellent impression of Ramada, thanks to Ms Liu Ella, at the reception, who could speak very good English and did her utmost to help and give precious pieces of advice for our trips in the area. She's very kind and professional. We did enjoy our stay at Ramada's and we recommend it if you intend to visit Tai'An.
