calm, great restaurant, super reception team

We thought the evening astronomy experience was disappointing. The person hosting this was a poor communicator and he assumed too much about the audience’s knowledge of astronomy (ie too many unexplained technical terms). Only 3 opportunities to use the telescope and the darkness was disturbed by lights from other guests rooms etc. This does not reflect on our opinion of the hotel because as I’ve said above the hotel was excellent!

Lovely hotel, possibly the best we have stayed in so far during our month long Chile/Argentina trip. We had a very well appointed and large room, maybe slightly too close to the restaurant & therefore a little noisy up until 11pm. Restaurant was excellent and we thought reasonable value for money. We liked the restaurant so much that we ate there both nights of our stay. We were very well looked after by our waiter, Juan. Muchas gracias Juan! Breakfast was also excellent. Diego, the owner, was also very helpful.

Our stay was awesome! I love the hotel and everywhere you looked was beautiful. The staff were awesome and special mention for Diego the manager and also Juan our waiter in the restaurant. Juan chose local wine for us and recomended where we could travel around in the area. He was such an awesome waiter and we absolutely loved everything about the place. I was sad to leave!

Bed was too soft and over used in places. Please get rid of the toilet seat cover that falls on you when you use the toilet.

Really great staff, super clean, great breakfast, nice common areas. Aloe Restaurant has good food but is pricey for the portion sizes. Street parking was easy to find.

Beautiful hotel with exceptional attention to detail. The staff were very attentive and the amenities were perfect. Lots of history with a modern flare. Would love to return. The massages we booked were great and the hot tub on the terrace was secluded and peaceful.

This hotel is spectacular - the staff are so friendly and attentive, the facilities are lovely and very clean. The rooms are spacious and are of a very nice design. The courtyard and common areas are so relaxing, and the restaurant is absolutely delicious!! The breakfasts in the morning are very generous and fresh too. Would highly recommend to stay here. We tried a couple of other restaurants in vicuna but by far this was the best! Great value for money.

Beautiful grounds, very well kept. Owner was very friendly and told us about this historical property and the work that has gone into updating it into the wonderful B&B it is now. Breakfast was included with our stay and was just the right amount of food. Privately star gazing from the rooftop jacuzzi was a highlight. The restaurant was great and we had dinner there both nights.

The bathroom is not separated from the room, which is awkward in a room with double beds (if someone doesn't want to share a bed, they probably will want privacy coming out of the shower). The sink counter is uncomfortably tall.

The hotel was full of character and tastefully furnished. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The restaurant served delicious food for evening meals. The location was excellent in the centre of Vicuna but and easy access to the Elqui Valley for day trips.

everything was of high quality

very friendly reception by the owner who told us a lot about the history of the building. the hotel is very stylish and tastefully furnished, with spacious public spaces. room amenities were excellent, beds and bathroom very comfortable. breakfast was freshly prepared to order (included). we also used the restaurant for dinner, quality was excellent. together with enough places in the shade and a nice swimming pool and garden a high quality "resort" like experience in the middle of vicuna. the owner also organised a last-minute astronomical tour for us. very much recommended.

The room, while beautiful and comfortable, has very little natural light. There were only a couple of small windows, and they are opaque and sealed shut. Thus, the only way to get natural light or to let in fresh air is to leave your door open. We just had our door open a lot, which mostly solved the problem. The attached picture shows the view out of our door. That pretty much makes it all worth it.

In many ways, this is a wonderful hotel. The staff could not be more helpful. Diego, the proprietor, speaks perfect English and will help you with anything you need. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is exceptional. The courtyard and setting are truly lovely. The room was very well appointed.

Wasn't a problem, as the town is quite safe, but there is no secure parking. However we got a space right in front of hotel both nights we were there.

Fantastic place with caring and extremely attentive staff. Lovely pool, very comfy beds and nice breakfasts in a lovely patio area. So nice to see hosts and staff taking such great pride in the venue and the hospitality. Highly recommended.

I wish that coffee would have been available before 8:30 am to be enjoyed outdoors. I wish it was more clear about the jacuzzis only being available for rent and the cost at the time of booking.

Very clean and comfortable. The space is beautiful and all of the rooms have motifs by an artist. The hotel restaurant is delicious.

Whirlpools only bookable half day. Water filled for every session, which results in a high price. Might not be necessary in the desert... Location a little bit expansive in relation to others.

From before we arrived to after we left, Diego’s hospitality, kindness and attention to detail made our stay at his glorious hotel an absolute highlight of our honeymoon. The photos are beautiful, but prepare yourself to be stunned by this truly serene, lovingly-restored hotel. The food in the restaurant is also absolutely stellar - genuinely one of our top five meals in Chile, and fantastic service. If you’re coming to Vicuña, stay here - you won’t regret it.
