The extra bed wasn't very comfortable, but it was understandable.

The view of the lake was amazing. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. I sincerely appreciate the male staff member who kindly guided us to the bikes and helped with the rental. It had all the facilities I needed, including free bikes and even snacks available in the lobby.

We thought we were getting a room with a full view of the lake. Instead we got a room facing the lake but at 1st level where the view was obstructed by trees. The hotel staff tried to offer alternate rooms but they had other issues. Also the bathroom had a urinal type odor. We were there for a short stay and did not want to spend our time on dealing with these issues. Instead we spent most of our time outside and had a great time anyways.

Location is the best. The reception staff is warm and friendly. The lobby area with free coffee and cold drinks and popcorn is a welcome relief while you are waiting to be checked in

The property was in the perfect location, the views from our lakeside room were phenomenal! And it was easy distance for tourist attractions and everything we needed. We hadn’t brought the correct socket adapter, but grateful the hotel had spares we could borrow.

That we had to leave!! We arrived one day after the Montreux Jazz Festival ended; next time we will stay here during the festival as it is perfectly located right in the action!

Hotel Mona is in a great location: 3-5 minutes from train station, escalator and elevator are available on the street close to the hotel was helpful to avoid carrying luggage up/down many steep stairs, one-minute walk to shops. Located right on the lake promenade/waterfront. Beautiful views from our panoramic room! Outdoor hot tub on a spacious sun deck with beautiful view of the water. Complementary self-serve water, juice, coffee and popcorn. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast area was large and looked lovely, however, we did not pay extra for this option.

Single beds rather than a double bed. Mattress was a bit firm for our comfort Toilet was positioned to close to the door. Bit squishy!!

I loved the view from our window. Amazing!! Nice sized room. Great location beside the lake and not far from the train station.

The shower went cold occasionally but I presume that was because we were showering when everyone else was.

A wonderful hotel situated in a beautiful city. Very short walking distance to many historical facts. The rooms were very clean and tidy and the breakfast was excellent, much diversity and very filling.The team were very polite and courteous. Highly recommended.

The hotel staff is quite demanding when it comes to identify verification - insist the name to book the hotel from bookings.com must match the spelling on the passport. This sometimes can be an issue. Also the shower facility in the toilet is not good, a bit lagging behind the other good facilities in the room.

The location is great! Just within 5 minutes walking distance to the train station. And easy to get access to public transportation within the city.

Outside looks very basic but inside it’s stunning ! Great branding - so cool fresh and great atmosphere . Decor stunning in communal areas. Great location . Breakfast area beautiful and staff helpful . We got an early check in which was great. Easy walking distance to all restaurants and shops. Lake views beautiful and great wee restaurant beside them . Rooms are clean and nice minimal decor . Free minibar and drinks and popcorn free throughout hotel . Sweet little merchandise stand and gift shop .

Bathrooms - just a little tatty. I emailed in advance to request twin beds and also to link two bookings as I decided to stay a second night. Neither was done and we had to upgrade to enable us to have 2 beds. I’m not sure the upgrade was worth it, the room was bigger but the balcony still teensy.

Loved the sixties style hotel, the rooms are obviously updated but the bathrooms could do with some work. The balconies were quite small and the furniture uncomfortable but the view is to die for. There are free drinks in the the mini fridge and they are restocked every day (includes one beer) and there are free drinks on the sun deck. I also requested the sauna and steam room early in the morning and had a lovely hour both days on my own in both. Lovely luxury!
