The air conditioning was quite noisy, so probably not so nice if you want it turned on during the night (which we didn't want anyway)

The guest house was right next to a lively street in a pride area. The street itself was quiet and no noise from outside. The room itself was nice with comfortable beds and a decent shower.

A minor negative was that the television remote did not seem to work at all. I did not intend to use the tv (was turned on when I arrived), so it was not a problem for me, but perhaps it can be an issue for others.

The house was conveniently located near to a metro station. Moreover, it had a very nice atmosphere, with the Edwardian (not sure if I identified it correctly) style building, and the nice little front yard with water fountain. The staff was also helpful when it seemed I would only be able to arrive quite late.

Room is small and shaped oddly. The curtains covered the AC so I had to tie them up so I could get the AC

The bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and big. Came with fridge, microwave, kettle etc. Big TV AC was good.. Great location , restaurants and shops in walking distance. Subway was less than a block away. Great location.

WiFi was a little dodgy at times.

The hotel is in the ideal spot and location. It was perfect for us as the subway station is a 3 minute walk away, and there’s a 24 hour shop across the road as well. The room is a little dated but that didn’t spoil our stay. Bed was pretty comfortable and the room/bathroom was very clean. We got this accommodation on an amazing deal considering the location. Thank you Victoria Mansion Guest House, we enjoyed our stay.

Tiny double bed. Mattress not great

It was very cheap which made up for the tiny double bed. Bed would have been ok for one person though.

The window was beside the entrance so we had to keep the curtains closed so there wasn't any natural light.

Checking in went fine. The bed was comfortable. It is close to the subway which was handy for travelling from the Yorkdale bus depot and for getting to the Via Rail Station the following morning.

The room is a bit small.

The bed was comfortable. The building is well maintained and the flower garden is an extra treat. The balcony looked appealing but the smoke from the wild fires stopped us from using it.

There is no elevator, for someone over 70 it is hard to get to the 3rd floor, it should be mentioned in the property disclosure.

The parking was available. I wish the explanation and how to arrange for the parking during the booking would have been more clear to avoid miscommunication and misunderstanding.

The stairs to the second floor are quite steep. I knew before that there would be no elevator.

The room was quiet and nicely furnished. The bed comfortable. There was a fridge, a microwave and a kettle, tea , cups and plates provided.

How quiet it was

Arrival at property not so smooth, no-one on reception or answering the phone so had to use out-of-hours phone number, this did work and receptionist came within a couple or so minutes. No lift and so if your room is on the top floor you don't want a heavy bag, no help was offered but maybe it was just assumed my husband would be fine.

Decorated in individual style, rooms were different in style so felt a bit more welcoming than some standard clinical decors. Very much an old style house as described really. Location was around 20-25 minutes from the door to Union Station, straight forward and good underground train service.

Small room but it worked for us.

Great location, room very well sound insulated, also very clean, close to subway stop. Good value considering location and comfort. Price was good compared to other places in the vicinity.
