Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaA bit disappointed with parking. I didn’t see the notes that hotel guests must check in to hotel reception for parking,so I paid in the machine instead and must leave early morning😏. Hotel can’t help with that due to two different company. In the future they must be able to accommodate about it.
Location location and location! Room was in the top floor (almost) so I can see downtown crowds☺️. I stayed there just to watch Oilers party for Stanley Cup. Would be great experience if they won unfortunately not for this year.

CanadaThe hours of operation for the pool and fitness centre made it difficult to make full use of the facility. A 6:00 am instead of 7:00 am opening would be have been preferred.
Very courteous staff, the room and facilities although older have been updated and are in good condition. The pool and fitness centre are excellent. although have limited hours of operation.

Canadathought the restaurant prices were a bit high and meals a little small on the plate at the one major restaurant inside the main floor.
secure (for a fee ) underground parking that was very convenient and close coupled with a very central downtown location and a staff that really seemed to enjoy their jobs makes this a no brainer place to stay at a very affordable price

CanadaI prefer a down pillow. The pillows at the Sandman are large and chunky, and don’t provide good support. Having one or two down pillows in the closet as an option would be great. I think there are more comfortable synthetic pillows that mimic down pillows. I put out the tag for room service on the 2nd of 3 days but did not receive any service. We had trouble finding the restaurant for breakfast. The notices were there but not obvious from the hallway. A notice outside the entrance door would have been helpful.
Rooms are large, well furnished, although would prefer more traditional furnishings, than a one-armed chaise lounge chair/sofa. Everything worked, shower was great, thermostat easy to understand and control, and the bed was comfortable.

CanadaBreakfast was not included, so I had to pay extra. It's not a big deal, but it would be better if it was included. The coffees in the room were like tea bags. I personally prefer keurig pods because of convenience. But the coffee was not bad. Underground parking lot accessibility was a little bit bothering. I felt like I had to detour to go to my vehicle every time through the lobby. (It is not the hotel's fault. It is due to the initial design of the building) But don't get me wrong, the overall experience, I'm satisfied with the hotel.
Location - Easy to find the hotel by driving and nice accessibility to the city attractions. Coziness - Clean and cozy room. Facilities - I loved the gym and pool

CanadaLots of street people and dirt around the outside, but that’s to be expected at a downtown location. Double beds were small though comfortable.

CanadaNeed larger TV’s in lounge. Have 2 small ones side by side, is hard to watch. Second tv with different programming should have some spacing, not directly side by side. Also get some kind of food elevator, should be a concern that the waiters/ waitresses have not had a serious incident packing plates of food in both hands, while managing 2 long flights of stairs. Homeless are an issue for sure.
Breakfast was very good. Watched oilers game in lounge. Very polite servers .
