The only staff I saw during my 3 days was the person who checked me in. The place felt deserted. It's also an old building, with a weird layout, so it feels a bit claustrophobic.

This older hotel is all about location. It's right downtown, where all the action is. There's nothing fancy about this place. I stayed here because I was attending a conference, and it was basically just a room to sleep in at the end of the day.

The carpet in front of the bathroom was wet when we came in. The bathroom itself smelt bad and I suspect theres a leak somewhere. The bathroom continued to smell bad when we got back. The bathroom door didnt really work either and kept coming off its tracks. The giant grey curtain in the lobby is unbecoming and id rather see the bar below.

The location is great! I like the decor and the bed was comfy. It had a nice charm to it!

I did not see anything that reduced the enjoyment of my stay. Some may not like that there is no breakfast. But, that is not something I was needing for my stay.

Great central location. Not a long walk at all to anywhere in the central core. My room was quiet. Drapes great for dark room to sleep. Ample room to walk around in. Best for a single person as only a one person chair in the room. Shower nice

The parking, while affordable, was a bit confusing and not having any temporary parking option to check in (because the street is now closed to traffic) was difficult if you don't know the area or streets. I wish they had explained a little bit better and given more info about how to check out and why a deposit was needed. I also purposely got a room with a spa tub and was incredibly disappointed to find that the jets in the tub didn't actually work, so it was just a slightly larger tub. And worse, the water was no more than lukewarm at any given time and fluctuated between very cold and lukewarm, so the bath situation was a disaster.

I liked that it was affordable cleaning and had parking options available

In-room tea making could be improved. No one enjoys powdered Coffeemate in their tea, and 4-5 packets of sugar isn't enough for even two people for one cup each.

The central location was a game changer for our mini-vacation. If that weren't enough, we had a view of the water, comfy reading chairs, and a working fireplace? We were able to do all the sightseeing we could want, walk to our choice of pubs in the evening, or take tea two doors over at Murchie's, yet come back to our room and relax with a good book. This may be our new favorite stay in Victoria to date.

Very small room. It was essentially a bed and a bathroom, but that was fine since we spent most of our time out and about. It was a bit strange having the sink located in the main room and not having one in the bathroom but it wasn't a big deal overall.

It was a unique and cozy room. The building itself was very old but had a bit of a charm

There was no table and (normal) chair in the room. Not sure I have ever experienced this before in any hotel or motel. Very difficult to work or eat or do anything. Also, this wasn't a big issue, but the building was continually creaking (audible at night), which should be investigated.

Great location. Clean and comfortable. Quiet.

The layout of the 2 beds - we both couldn’t watch tv at the same time. It was also extremely loud until almost 1:30 so I do not suggest staying if you’re looking for a quiet place.

Very convenient space if you’re looking for a fun night. Close to the waterfront and all the bars/shops

Room was quite large and came with a kitchen (no cutlery or plates) fridge was on the floor by the window. No heat in the room. The night staff were quick to find me a portable heater and extra blanket. Jetted tub was a lovely feature but the jets have not been properly maintained. Had no hot water for my shower

Maaaaybe the parking lot system can be a bit better. I understand that there's not much to be done but it is a bit odd that it is 2 blocks away, and you need a card to get in most of the time, and then you have to give the card back right away.

The location for the price is great. Honestly this is one of those places that you are booking just because of how convenient it is, you have to be realistic and understand that you are not staying a the Ritz Carlton but we had a great sleep and the staff was kind and helpful. I do have to mention that we had the luck to stay on the 4th floor because there is a bar attached to the hotel, and I can see how if you stay maybe don't the first floor, you'd be disturbed by what's going on there.
