It's difficult to write a review for this hotel. It has a very unique history but is not doing very well at the moment. Will be attractive for vintage lifestyle lovers, but absolutely needs renovation to get back its shine.

Bathroom was in need of update- painted tub was peeling, stains on wood and wallpaper (appeared to be a nail polish spill). Carpet needed a good shampoo.

Resturant on site. Parking at hotel had security. Friendly helpful staff. Beds were comfortable.

I made a deposit first time staying here back in Jan 2023 checking out I rushed out and couldn’t get it back but I told them I was gonna come back the next day to get it but also didn’t let me the next day. Some staff are rude about things like that. Also the elevator needs an upgrade or fixing because the buttons barely work and another thing I don’t like is how we can’t use debit cards now to use as a booking option when checking in for this stay, online it shows you can but when you go to check in you’re told you can’t.

It’s a good place some staff are nice.

Vagrants in parking lot made us feel not safe. Hotel needs updating, hallway carpet, the rooms, lobby, etc. Although we like the location, I don’t think we will stay there again.

Hallway carpets had stains. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling in spots. There were dirty water stains around the pool and no pool towels. No extra pillows available from the front desk. Extra charge for room and damage deposit will take 7 to 10 business days for reimbursement to credit card.

The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable.

The neighborhood is rundown, the elevator wasn’t working and the hotel seems to be in need of repair.

Location on the water could have been great, but several streets right at the hotel are torn up so the approach was difficult. The area around the hotel is really rundown.

I booked ahead and told them of my arrival time-3:00 pm. I arrived a few minutes before and asked if it was possible to book in a bit early as I was so fatigued. It was 2:45. I was told that the room was not ready yet. I told them no problem , I'll come back in a bit. At 3:30 there was still no room available as housekeeping did not inform front desk of rooms available. Only the top 2 floors were cleaned. I asked if I could have one of those. He told me rooms were ready but my room would be on the second floor. It was almost 4:00 pm before I could check in. I would not have arrived early or at 3:00pm if I knew there would be a wait. The downtown area does not feel safe to walk around as there is major construction. I feel there was a disconnect in communication with housekeeping & front desk staff. After checking in, the room was great and I slept well.

I liked the location, view & style of the hotel. As well the online booking rate was good too.

Our original room smelled smoky so we were quickly moved to a comparable room; however, we did not have a sofa sleeper in the second room. We were provided a roll away bed that broke and were quickly provided another one. The staff was so helpful in helping remedy all this. We could have used a few more towels for the 3 of us staying in the room that was obviously only outfitted for 2. There was no air conditioning so we opened the windows for air and there was a lot of street noise.

Close to lakefront. The front desk and other staff were exceptional and helpful in addressing the snafus we experienced there. Close onsite parking!

I booked the room through booking.com and paid more than I would have if I had just called the hotel and booked it through them. When I realized my mistake I found out I was unable to cancel the reservation and was stuck paying the more expensive rate for to nights!

Location is excellent if you are attending an event at the marina. A lot of very good cafes and restaurants nearby. Secure parking lot with security guard. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

There was no safety bars in shower, tub was slippery, not senior friendly. Room was not as described in pictures. Very few places to put your clothes or suitcases. I ended putting clothes on floor. The alarm kept on going off even though no-one set it.

Better housekeepers and maintenance. Visible stains on walls, curtains dirty. Repaint ceilings, walls and wash or replace curtains. Two things that would vastly improve the room. Replace flooring--the bathroom had new flooring which seemed very odd when you look at the rest of the room.

One small elevator for both staff and guests. Staff elevator broken for over a year according to staff. Noisy air cooling system.

Spacious. Good fridge and coffee machine. Close parking and free.

It smelled like stale cigarettes and had some obvious wear, which is probably from it being old.

I liked the location and the historical nature of it. There is a good brewery across the street and it’s centrally located. We stayed in the jacuzzi suite and the jacuzzi was nice.

had few issues with booking process, booked for 3 adult and 2 children so a room for 5 people and was given a standard room with 2 beds so had to get a cott, after getting the beds ready to sleep we found what looked like dry blood and some gooy/sticky substance on the comforter/blanket, bathtub had paint peeling and rust. Beds were way too firm. Other than that great stay.

The room smelled funky and furniture looked old. For almost 270 CAD we paid for one night, we expected a better looking room.

I loved the walk next to the water. We had an amazing time with our dogs next to the water. I really liked the staff.
