Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaThe Pet charge was exorbitant. I travel with a very well trained quiet pet that is only in the room overnight (and sleeps on the floor on his bed). I think there should be a good pet rating for repeat customers with well behaved pets as $30 per night is not justified as there was very little extra cleaning required. If this doesn't change I will be choosing other accommodations in the future.
The room was great, clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very good.

CanadaThe atrium and the pool area is really nice but the guests using the pool area were very noisy. We had a room facing this and even with the door closed it was too loud. The building is very old and even with the renovation, it's still old. Not very good ventilation in the rooms.
Staff were very friendly. The hotel is in a good location. Nice facelift on the building, but it's still an old building. The Italian restaurant in the hotel was very good.

CanadaWe asked for a quite room which we got but the morning after, before 8am, we jumped out of bed awoken by both a leave blower (yes, in the middle of summer, on the plains!) and huge lawn mover, just next to out window. This is the main reason we gave a lower score.
Rooms are of good size, clean and confortable.

United StatesThe room faced the atrium and it was LOUD! Very loud. I'm not talking just normal conversation. There were kids yelling, coaches yelling, dogs barking, kids running and a lot of partying in the common area right below my room. On Saturday, the noise was inescapable until almost midnight. Also, the door to the bathroom is glass, didn't allow for any privacy. The glass wasn't clear, but it didn't shut all the way. The noise was only bad one of three nights, but it was too much for me.
Location was great. The room was very nice and clean.

United StatesWe were amazed at two things: 1)the noise from the pool was extremely loud with a number of screaming kids (and we like kids) - we wondered where the parents were and why they let their children scream like that in a hotel. 2)there was a family with two dogs right next to us on the night we were at the hotel, and the dogs started barking at 11:00pm. They barked four different times before midnight, then at about 7:00am they started again. We are dog owners ourselves but wonder if people with dogs should be in a separate area of the hotel so that they do not disturb other patrons.
Great park behind the hotel - would be good to advertise the lovely, walkable park just steps from the hotel.

CanadaRoom locations for guests were all next to each other at the back of the building. If you do not put a sign on door by 10 am miss the chance to have your room cleaned and serviced. This was not explained when checking in but was contained on a page of notes.
