When we checked in we were asked if we smoked. And we do not. Did not hear anything about vaping and my husband does. He was standing at the patio door, and took a puff off of his vape. There was a staff member standing outside. When he heard Hey you!! Not excuse me. But Hey You!!! He said you are smoking. And Mark said no I just vaped. This very rude man said this is your first and last notice. We felt like we were being watched. Mark did not vape again in the room of course. And the vape has absolutely no scent. We actually thought we would be charged extra. When I asked the guy at the desk he was equally rude and threw the owners business card at me and said call the owner. Morning check out was much more pleasant. We were there on Tuesday Nov 8th. Room 201

One thing that we didn’t like was the breakfast. I think for the amount of money that we spent there we should have been provided with a hot breakfast.

Room was a bit musty smelling but other than that it was fine Restaurant food could be better as well. Especially for the price. We’ve had better.

No Free Buffet breakfast

We just stayed for one night as we were picking up family from the airport early in the morning. I loved the small balcony on our room. The prices were much better than the comparable hotels that are closer to the airport. The friendly staff and cozy facilities give it a relaxing home time feeling. The only thing I missed was the free buffet breakfast. Covid is no longer a good excuse for these bag breakfasts. If some hotels can offer a breakfast buffet - all can. Overall, we loved the place and would highly recommend it.

Got woke up at 4am by people walking past our room outside on the patio deck. Making lots of noise, banging doors. And once hitting our door to our room. Lasted for about 30 minutes. Thought it might have been staff but now know it was other house guests. Weird hours for breakfast in the morning. Brunch at 11. Thought to accommodate guests they would have normal breakfast hours, 11am is check out time. We did however get a box breakfast offered.

We love this place, its a beautiful spot and we understand its hard to control other house guests actions. We will return again.

I arrived prior to a big storm and staff were very helpful, giving me a shuttle lift to and from the airport so I could return a rental car early before the storm. Rooms very clean and comfortable, great views, good food at the restaurant on site, and a hot breakfast sandwich provided made to order. The shuttle driver got us safely to the Halifax Airport in very bad driving conditions! Would definitely stay there again!

Highly recommend this inn, great staff and the facilities were superb ! Excellent high speed internet as well.The access to Halifax and the airport are just minutes away. The inn is on a beautiful accessible lake .

The hotel is dated. The room smelled old and stale. The price for a cab to the airport was RIDICULOUS!! Our flight was too early to use the hotel shuttle, so the front desk arranged a 'cab' for us. $50.00 was the charge for a 10 minute cab ride to the airport!!! FULL DISCLOSURE - when I first made our reservation I called the front desk to ask about transportation/shuttle service to the airport and was told that it would be $40 - $50 dollars. I thought it was expensive, but I had no idea where the airport was and as we had such an early flight home, I was going to pay whatever to get us to the airport (we had no choice - as our rental car had been turned in).

The bed was comfortable. The staff were accommodating. The restaurant food was good. The hotel has SOME character.

They could do with a bit a freshen up with the paint and decor, but the Inn was very comfortable and the staff very nice and helpful.

The Lake Inn was very nice. Great location and the staff were very helpful. The one morning the restaurant wasn't open but they have an amazing egg and ham breakfast wrap made up, it was one of the best I have ever had, amazing And when I checked in I asked if they had a room with a lake view, and they changed our room, very nice of them I would go back again.

Only thing if you stay during a hurricane, get your water for your toilet (no water at all). They will have buckets with water on each floor for that. Only lost power few times. Couple few doors down had a child that cried a lot, can say lack of sleep. Overall not a bad stay and included the hurricane.

This property was very run down..especially the outside grounds. Lobby bar closed and really not much to do around the area. We took a uber to Halifax to enjoy the evening.
