Hotel-provided parking spaces are a bit insufficient. We came back from dinner and all hotel provided parkings were full, and we were asked to park just outside hotel entrance at a desk staff’s instruction (and he came out to confirm where we parked was okay). But the next day a reception girl complained to us that we hadn’t parked properly ! She was quite rude and blamed us to be the party at fault. Unbelievable ! The bathroom is a bit dated. A bit expensive for the condition that it is.

The High Country Inn is in a great location with all shops and dining choices within walking distance. The staff were all so accommodating and helpful during our stay - they also provided bear spray to loan for our hikes. The style of the Inn is an 80s/90s lodge, so it isn’t super modern but it is very quaint and cute. The amenities were exactly what we needed and if the Inn didn’t have something we needed, we could be directed by staff to where we could easily purchase. Great value for money and great service, would recommend!

Noise from building work at 0700. We were told the day before we arrived about the building work, when we were unable to cancel, which I found somewhat deceptive. It wasn't a problem on the first two nights as they didn't start until 0830. On the third morning they started at 0700 hrs. I think even the front desk were surprised. I complained and in fairness they gave us a free night.

Our rooms were spacious and clean and everything worked as it should. More importantly we were very appreciative of the staff at the reception. They were amazingly friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. A big shout out to Dan !

What we liked less: - Parking spaces are small

3rd stop of our road trip from Calgary to Vancouver, we spent 2 nights at High Country Inn. What we liked: + Located in the heart of a lively town with plenty of activities + Excellent service at the reception + Ideal base for visiting Banff National Park (Bow Falls, Vermilion Lakes, Johnston Canyon, Silverton Falls, and many more) + Pool/jacuzzi area is very pleasant at the end of the day + Nice room with very comfortable bedding, well-equipped, and quiet + Nice little balcony + Good value for money

You can tell it is aging but still quite a nice hotel. It would be nice if they had breakfast available/restaurant.

The Jet Tub was fantastic. Nice fire place. Good location - very easy walk into town.
