Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesWe stayed in a deluxe 2 queen, the rooms are ok but nothing fancy. The rest of hotel is beautiful (lobby etc). It was mostly quiet, we are pretty sensitive to noise. Not totally soundproof but still quiet enough for a good rest at night. We liked the location, close to transit and lots of shopping.

We had the pleasure of staying here for 3 days during a recent visit to Vancouver. The hotel is in a great central location, easily walkable to the main tourist sites. We had two comfortable queen beds which gave us plenty of space (2 adults and a 13yr old child). The staff at the hotel couldn’t have done more to make our stay enjoyable.

Discovering hair in the dryer was quite disappointing, detracting from the sense of cleanliness one anticipates. Although I typically relish the indulgence of a bath at upscale establishments, the worn condition of the bathtub in my room made it less inviting. A bit more attention to detail and maintenance of the facilities would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
The hotel offers an exquisite blend of comfort and sophistication. From the moment I entered the lobby, I was captivated by its elegant ambiance and subtle, enchanting fragrance, setting the tone for a truly luxurious experience. United StatesThe check-in process took much longer than expected. We requested to check-in a couple of hours early weeks ahead of time, which I realize isn't guaranteed but we actually didn't get a room until an hour and a half AFTER check-in time, around 4:30 pm. We finally got to our room and then never got our bags! My husband had to go downstairs and retrieve them as we needed to freshen up after our train ride before headed out to explore. Room needed a little freshening up, the carpeting needed to be stretched as it was a little wrinkled in a few spots. The pedicure area in the spa was not appealing at all, it looked like just a cheap pedicure place. There was a giant big screen TV right in front of you that was on, no nice spa music, no soft lighting. The rest of the spa was very nice and what you would expect at a more upscale spa.
Location was wonderful. Loved the style of the hotel and restaurant, modern but classic.
