Room was not clean as it was sooty from the fire in the room , was all over the room fittings so you had to be careful when placing clothing.

The log fire in the room meant that there was a heavy residue of smoke odour throughout the room, being quite oppressive. It was strong enough to require the window open all the time, despite the fact we did not light the fire at all. Perhaps a better ventilation system should be explored for these rooms.

The location is superb. The room offered a massive bathroom with a huge walk in shower and free standing bath. The bedroom itself was big enough for 2 queen-size beds, which were very comfortable. There was an open log fireplace in the room along with the usual, coffee machine, fridge, safe etc. The restaurant offered great food and wine. Staff were excellent, knowledgeable and friendly.

Wait staff at The Prow was ok… they seemed to disappear quite a bit, even at lunch when there was barely anyone at the restaurant.

The Prow was lovely/cozy, we had plenty of space and having a little kitchen in our room was very helpful.

Not enough power points in the room

We liked the coziness of our room and its spaciousness. The staff were extremely helpful particularly when booking a tour. We also enjoyed dinner a breakfast at The Prow.

The staff was extremely friendly. There was a mix up with one of our rooms and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We ate at the onsite restaurant for breakfast and dinner and both were excellent. If it was "in town" I think more would eat there. It is expensive, but everywhere in that area for this time of year is. It is a pleasant, easy walk to town. I would recommend a stay at Buffalo Mountain Lodge.

Location is amazing. Close to Banff without being right in town with a lot of tourists and traffic. Feels like being in a private cabin in the woods. We saw an elk and her baby walking through the parking lot very early one morning. Also a white tail deer came right up to our window. Property is kindly dog friendly. Our dog had a great time. Amazing outdoor hot tub that was never busy. So we had opportunities to have tub to ourselves or maybe 2 other people. Never over crowded. The on site restaurant is called the Prow and their food was outstanding. Highly highly recommend the Beef Tenderloin, the apple pie , and pancakes with orange cream for breakfast.

Had a difficult time with the tvs. We had hoped to watch a movie but struggled to get them to work. The sound from the people below us was loud.

Loved that it was fully equipped, and the fire place was fantastic.

The only item was that the heater took a long time to warm up the room.

Loved the resort because the scenery was awesome, the room was good and the restaurant food was great. Otherwise, will plan to stay again in 2 years. Thanks

The room felt a bit cramped with the 2 double beds - but for a family or 2 friends it would have worked well. The lighting was also quite dim - would have done with a better positioned light on one half of the room

Fire in the room - very rustic cabin vibes. Hot tub and gym was a good addition

No dislikes, we loved it here. The rooms are a little dated, more so the shower room. But this didn't cause us any problems at all.

We loved the Buffalo Mountain Lodge. It's about a 1mile walk from the main town (up and hill) but would still recommend as it's lovely being out of the township. The staff were great, the beds were really comfortable, log burner and lovely balcony. Gym facility was fine and they had seperate shower/changing rooms we used after checking out; these were both clean and spacious.

The only thing that I didn’t like about the property was that the room did not have a refrigerator.

No fridge, no microwave. Restaurant staff varied in efficiency. Tight parking spots, first come first served. Ground floor rooms suffered from walking noise from 2nd floor.

Elegant resort. Real fireplace in the room.

Apartment felt a bit dingy when we first walked in, worsened by how grubby it was (lots of dust especially the blinds). Felt more cosy once we lit the fire!

Good location, lovely reception and restaurant, friendly staff. Comfortable beds and a decent shower. Not bad value for Banff!

The fire isn't great in the room I would recommend not using it the smoke kept coming back into the room even though we had it set up properly even got a maintenance guy to check it out. The room already had a strong smell of smoke when we arrived so assume it happens often room was stinking of smoke by end of stay. Also towels need some updating they are very hard on the skin.

We were lucky to get an upgraded room due to keys not working in our original room so it was lovely and big and the bed was super comfy with a cute little balcony very nice room clean and tidy. The hottub area is so nice lovely touch to the lodge and the reception area and bar were really nice.

We had one of the older units. It was still good but dated. Would have liked to have a mini fridge in the room. It had a Nepresso machine not my kind of coffee. I would have liked if they had coffee available in the lobby.

It was away from the tourist area up the mountain. It was very quiet.
