The mosquitoes were a pain, but the hotel does provide citronella bug spray. Bizarrely, only one set of patio doors had a mosquito screen though, which didn't make a lot of sense to us, and seems like an obvious fix. We were also surprised our room didn't have AC. A few other areas of modernisation like USB charging for example would be nice, and the hotel exterior would benefit from some kind of covering or lean-to to accommodate diners outside when it's raining during peak season. Trying to get something to eat or drink on our first night was a nightmare after a long drive!

Amazing location with great views and good proximity to downtown Ukee and excellent walking trails. This is definitely an excellent option if you're put off by the ridiculous hotel pricing in nearby Tofino. Our suite was large and very well-equipped, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here. I'd also suggest trying the Currents restaurant during your stay, it was a definite highlight of our stay - the food, service, and the ambiance were excellent.

The only thing that bothered us were the people upstairs that sounded like a herd of elephants but that’s not Black rocks fault.

Such a beautiful location and we loved our room spot with our dog. The room was very well layed out and the balcony was a plus.

Pool is very small and the two hot tubs were really hot so we didn’t go in.

Beautiful location right next to the Wild Pacific Trail. Lovely town, close to Tofino and the pacific rim national park. Our room had a partial view of the ocean and it was GORGEOUS. Staff were great.

Really minor things. The instructions for operating the fireplace were not very helpful. The image of the controller differed to what was in the room. Maybe more USB charge ports for international travellers.

The staff were exceptional. Friendly and very helpful whether it was the reception or either of the restaurants. Felt very welcomed. The room was incredibly comfortable and delightful to relax in. Also very private. The resort had quite a few guests but it was very easy to just sit on the balcony and enjoy the wonderful environment, crashing waves, and general peace.

Really beautiful renovated suite! Amazing views, great amenities and everything we needed was in our room. We had a kitchen, dining table, balcony and even washer and dryer in the room! We got a lovely warm welcome even for our dog. We really Loved the hotel and the whole experience. The beaches are stunning.

Not enough parking space. Apartments are rather dark regarding the interior.

The ocean view was awesome. We saw four orcas just from our balcony. The apartment was large and comfortable. Free cookies. Well equipped apartments. Free tea and coffee in the apartment. Great mattress.

Hot tubs weren’t working when we were there. They were tepid tubs! Other than that the place was excellent. So this minor. I’m sure they have fixed them by now.

The side view balcony was slightly disappointing . Two old hardwood chairs hardly made it an appealing place to sit. The 'swimming' pool is tiny, and at 3 foot deep is hardly worth the bother. This hotel has loads of potential but fails to live up to its billing.

The room size & bathroom were excellent. The reception & sports bar staff were OK.

We stayed here during our honeymoon and the staff, especially Amy was absolutely amazing. We’ve got an upgrade to a room with a breathtaking view and a sweet surprise with a card. The room was very clean, big and comfortable. We also tried the Big Beach Lounge and the food there was exceptional good and Libby our waitress there was such a friendly and lovely person. The window partition between the bedroom and bathroom was sliding glass panels. They didn’t quite meet in the middle when shut so there was a small gap. As we were travelling with our teen it was a little inconvenient having to make sure we weren’t in the bedroom when we she used the bathroom so she could have privacy . Panels that shut properly would have made life much easier.

We had a one bed suite which meant plenty of room for my husband , teen daughter and i. Large bedroom with a really comfy bed , daughter said sofa bed was ok. Great to have a little kitchen and the view from the balcony was superb. Nice big bathroom with a great shower
