Liked everything about this place it was absolutely amazing! The hot tubs were very nice, the room was spectacular.The lounge and restaurant was some of the best food we have ever had. We will be back in the near future.

No door hanger to let the cleaners know when we were declining daily freshen up to reduce environmental impacts. The patio door had visible lock damage which we reported right away. There were a lot of dog barking during the day. Parking near the lodge was scarce due to construction equipment using regular parking spaces

The resort was able to accommodate my early check in request. The room was clean and stocked with the initial supplies. Easy check in and check out process

All units are right near the ocean with very nice views, and great access to hiking and scenic areas. The location was great for hiking, touring and storm watching.

There was an adjoining room that was a little loud so could hear others. But wasn’t a problem.

Rooms were even more spacious than expected, and the beds were incredible comfortable!

Nice bathrooms with overhead shower and soaking tub. Unfortunately the drain plug leaked so didn’t have a bath. Bedroom tv didn’t work - no video picture. All can be fixed easily I assume

Emergency preparedness- states there are special lights in the room- there are not.

Power was out due to the storm, there were no candles or emergency lights in our room. No flashlights available either. The line up for breakfast was crazy so we ate some fruit from our room. The view and the company was amazing though!

Unfortunately the jets in both hot tubs were not working. Menu was identical in both the restaurant and lounge.

Nothing of a big deal - only small things: hard to be in the pool during the rain - towels all get soaked up. Stuff should have provided locker keys along with the towels and warn us in advance that we should take our robes from the room.

Loved basically everything - we enjoyed the coziness of the room including a nice bathtub and a fireplace, amazing view at the ocean, delicious breakfast and dinner at Currents restaurant with the views and the pool under rain showers in the night. Would definitely stay here again, and preferrable for more than 2 nights.

Gym is quite small, old and lacked some weights.

Staff were very accommodating in making sure guests are felt welcomed and had a good time while staying at the resort.

We noticed a few deficiencies—the balcony doors were damaged and did not close properly and the dishwasher did not seem to work.

We love the Black Rock! The staff is great and our room was incredible—we love the one bedroom suite!

There is no air conditioning. Thankfully it was cool when we went in August, or this would have been awful. Pool and hot tubs are quite small.

It is right on the ocean and Wild Pacific Trail. Our son loved exploring right around the hotel. Nice with the kitchen so we could cook some meals.

The resort offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding rainforest, making it a perfect getaway for anyone looking to unwind in nature. The room was spacious, modern, and incredibly comfortable, with floor-to-ceiling windows that allowed me to take in the ocean views every morning.

Lighting is inadequate making the rooms seem dark. Lack of instructions on how to use the gas fireplace. Lack of instructions on how to use the television.

Better than expected view. Nice large outdoor deck. We were celebrating a big anniversary and it was acknowledged by the Resort.

Not so much a dislike, rather comment on the facility. The room and finishes were a touch tired but all was functional. They are currently undergoing renovations/freshening. Hot tubs were popular but on the small size...think they could use a couple more tubs:)

Location was off the charts. Right on the ocean shoreline. What a great, continuous sound track!! Staff were excellent. Very prompt to respond and provide support if/as needed. Food and beverage great. Our room was a great design. We had living area, kitchenette, ocean view balcony with separate bed/bath (with a big ocean view window). We are big fans of the slow morning and having breakfast 'in' and coffee on the balcony. Only one rainout morning:) The provided appliances and utensil/cutlery was perfect for our needs. Very spacious for two persons. Outstanding trail(s) and access...main trail actually wrapped around the resort. Walkable to town.
