We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

CanadaI used to take my children there years ago so they could swim in the winter at the great pool they had. Would get with points. Hotel then was tired, now it is utterly exhausted. Even though no smoking, I think the carpets are from the old smoking days as they wreaked of some sort is stale smokey stench. As for cleanliness, in the bathroom on the tub was the last clients earring stud. Kinda hard not to miss. Wonder how much else was MISSED. Won’t be ever going back.

CanadaThe hotel manager was great! I had explained my husband passed away and me and my children were there to get away and have sometime to ourselves and after I said that manager said if we need anything to let them know and they'd try there best to accommodate me and my family. It made me feel at ease and I felt happy that this nice lady who didn't know us but took into consideration that we were grieving and wanted to make our stay enjoyable and made us feel like we were taken care of, no worries just enjoy your stay and enjoy the pool with your kids ❤. Me and my kids are actually planning another trip to North Bay in a few weeks because the service was so excellent at this hotel my kids want to go back. Thank you Laura for taking the time to make me and my kids feel so at home here.

CanadaLots of areas look rundown and in need of repair. Chair in my room looked like it was obtained at a garage sale, (ripped and worn). Exterior entrance doors need to be replaced, they look like they have been band-aid repaired over and over. Room desks and tables show signs of damage (chipped corners and missing veneer) Thermostat in room was not secured onto wall properly.
Nice lobby and front foyer, the restaurant was playing some nice jazz that I listened to while I was sitting in the foyer. Breakfast was good, nice to have a menu breakfast, rather than a buffet pick and choose breakfast.

United StatesLocation is close to the lake, but there is no view or lake access. The hotel is generally old and run down. Stairs and hallways are particularly in need of renovation.

CanadaThe front desk staff treated us like second-class citizens when they found out We were travelling with our dog. We booked the room over two weeks ago, noting at the time of booking that we were was travelling with our dog. We arrived at the hotel and were signing in. We mentioned that our dog wears with us. The desk clerk rudely said that we couldn’t have the room we’d booked because the room wasn’t pet friendly. She booked us into the only other room she had that was pet friendly. It turned out to be an old dirty and smelly room. Clearly they think all dog owners don’t care about cleanliness. It gave us the heebe jeebies. We stayed as there wasn’t another option. In the morning at about 7:30 AM, we were awoken by the smoke alarm in our room. There wasn’t a fire we don’t smoke and we were asleep. Our dog went into a panic attack. We had to get up pack up and leave just to calm her down. The hallway smelled like weed and was dark. There wasn’t really anywhere outside for the dog to P either. The restaurant was the one shining star of the whole experience. We give it a 10 out of 10. It should be noted that they did give us a lower rate for the room. And sent an email apologizing for the inconvenience. Kudos to Best Western for that. We will not stay at this Best Western ever again.
