Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomIt is a room in a shared hostel type house. No staff so all done via messaging and e-mail. Not able to lock room door from outside.
Close to skytrain so good links into the city. Free parking, quiet location. Coffee shop and shops 5 min walk away. Good shower

CanadaThere was no lock on our door which would have made me uncomfortable if I had belongings I cared about. The host seemed to have forgotten our arrival and so no email with a code until I called him. It’s just a house share situation and so you feel a little like an intruder. Location was pretty far out from city -which is fine but I thought the price was very high and value wasn’t there. No TV. Local area doesn’t have much to do.
The room was big and the bed was amazingly comfortable!! It was clean and the shower was nice. Wifi worked well. Easy check in/out. Parking available for vehicle. Fridge and kitchen facilities provided.

CanadaI got confused about the lockbox situation as there are two on the door. The top digital one is the one to use to get in. There were people talking in the room next door until maybe 1-2am and we found it disrupted our sleep. Overall we enjoyed the room and the location.
So close to the Marine Drive skytrain; so convenient!! The room and private bath were great. The bed was very cozy. The bedding was nice quality. The shower was great! The water pressure was great! It was easy to find ☺️

CanadaIt has other tenants share the house, the kitchen area……but didn’t bother me much. The handle of the shower needs to be to be fixed.
The room has a spacious washroom, microwave + coffee machine, a fridge, clean and convenient. The location was perfect for me. The property is quiet. There’s a shopping mall at the nearest station Merine Drive which is very convenient.

Great location for easy access to airport and links into central Vancouver. Easy-going family atmosphere in the house, felt welcome to use the communal areas alongside other residents and guests.

We were very close to the skytrain and had easy access to other public transport. We enjoyed pur private bathroom and it was easy to access the rental. The room is very well equipped with a mini fridge, a microwave and lots of storage.

CanadaNo AC, entire house felt like a sauna. Bathroom door was broken. Towels were old, hard and stained. Odd angulated room set up which maybe difficult if you’re navigating multiple pieces of luggage.
Location is very close to sky train and airport. Host communication is prompt and kindly offered to store our luggage after check out (although we did not end up needing this). Ensuite bathroom and good value for staying in Vancouver

CanadaPrice is adequate comparing other rooms in Vancouver. But, anyway, it's Vancouver - so, prices are extremely high.
It was a room in a house, but with private bathroom. Additionally, there were electric kettle, microwave oven and fridge in the room. Slippers and towels were provided. WIFI was good. Walking distance to SkyTrain, a supermarket and cafes as well.
