Very peaceful with friendly stuff and excellent breakfast. Can easily hire a private boat taxi from a beach. A bit far from pier, so get a guy to carry your luggage for R$50. There were 3 restaurants with discounts for staying in Togomago, all 3 were excellent.

Not many negatives, they were all very minor things compared to the positives. We had a shared patio/balcony, even though from the pictures I had the understanding that it would be private. The hairdryer did not work, neither did the safe, but we got a lock to use instead from the staff which was nice. It would be nice if there was a secure place to keep luggage on the last day after check-out, we had to keep ours out in the open, but the place seemed safe enough to do that. Still, would have been more comforting to know they are somewhere indoors. But like I said, none of these were very significant things since the overall experience was so amazing! 😊

The location was amazing, less than 5 minute walk to the beach, and beautiful views of nature and the sea! Sounds of birds and insects at night and in the morning, very peaceful. The view from the room in the morning was breathtaking. The breakfast was amazing. The staff were very helpful and responded quickly. It felt very safe and comfortable to stay here. The beds were comfy. Ilha Grande is beautiful. There were bars and restaurants very close, and a kayak rental almost right next to the hotel. It was altogether such a good experience, I would come here again, to this same hotel. 😊

I don't think this can be helped, but the constant mold/rotten wood smell bothered me. This was the case for all our lodgings in Brazil, unfortunately.

Spectacular view from the room balcony and the breakfast terrace. Nice relaxed atmosphere, nice breakfast and very pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Very comfortable bed, clean and well maintained room.

Amazing Pousada in the hill, it has beautiful views from the common area and balcony. Very good breakfast and the nicest staff. Well located near the town but also a bit separated from all the hustle and bustle.10/10 Totally recommended

The shower didn't get warm despite us following the instructions (although in the heat that's not such a bad thing!).

The highlight is the lovely balconies with stunning views of the beach, with a lovely hammock to chill in. The breakfast is lovely, with a range of delicious fruits, homemade cakes, scrambled eggs, etc. The staff were lovely- Sofia was very welcoming!

Everything provided by Tagomago was perfect! From check-in to check-out. The staff are very friendly and always up to help. The bed was comfy, the breakfast was delicious! And the location was great with such a beautiful view! Thank you Tagomago, you made my first visit to Ilha Grande unforgettable! I will be coming back :)

We really loved our stay at Pousada Tagomago! Also the staff and their hospitality was great! They gave us some tips and tricks for the island which was very useful for us! We really enjoyed it and it was a pity that we couldn’t stay longer. We would definitely recommend this beautiful accommodation!

If you have a lot of luggage just be careful because there are a lot of steps. Better to hire someone with a push cart from the port

We stayed at Pousada Tagomago for 4 nights during our honeymoon. It was our first visit to Ilha Grande and we were so happy that we decided to stay here. The location seems to be inconvenient at first, as it is a bit of a walk when you first get into town. We had big suitcases so we hired some one for 50 reals to take it for us, well worth it on a hot day after a really long travel day. It turns out the location is perfect, it feels secluded but also it is very quick to get to the beach, the town, or any of the hiking trails. The best part of staying here was Will, he exuded service and hospitality. He took the time to orient us to the island when we got there, offering recommendations of activities and providing local knowledge. If we needed anything he was right on it, helping us book a private boat tour(highly recommend), booking transfer back to Rio, and really just anything we needed. The breakfast every morning was a treat too, hot coffee, wonderful fruit, delicious cakes and breads, and enough to pack a little snack for our adventures on the trail. We will come back to Pousada Tagomago, and I recommend you do too!

Gorgeous guest house. Great location away from the crowds, and amazing views. The breakfast was exceptional! An array of fruits, breads, ham, cheese and eggs, as well as smooties, coffee and cake.

I liked everything, only the airconditioning was extremely loud.

Beautiful views, super friendly staff, great with English and just in general super helpful and kind people. The rooms were also very nice and clean and spacious with cozy balconies.
