If I had to pick one, it’s the sofa in the room. It’s fabric and it’s showing its age

Not the biggest deal but there was maintenance and repairs ongoing on my floor and at certain times it did get a bit noisy.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Thais was always going above and beyond to make my stay more pleasant! Isais who was in charge of the umbrellas and beach chairs was also great!

Amazing location, clean,comfortable and the view from the balcony it’s breath taken! We loved it! Simply beautiful!!!! Big thanks to Tamires, Thiago and Thays… all of them very helpful and thoughtful towards the guests. Breakfast it’s also amazing, lots of options, fresh items and friendly employees. We loved it! It was our first time at Porto Bay Rio but definitely it won’t be the lest. Looking forward to visit again soon.

Lunch Service was extremely slow on the rooftop, the food was good when we finally got it!

Beach front Hotel with roof bar.Excellent Side view room of the Copacabana Beach. The restaurant has fabulous views of the beach..Very comfortable bed and room. The Hotel also has a section on the beach with deck chairs.

At first we booked a standard room which it needed a bit of TLC. We had an upgrade for a suite and everything is was just perfect!

Bar staff on one of the nights stayed chatting with two guests and ignored other guests. We tried to get husband attention but didn't come. Instead of having another drink, we left.

Accommodate was a little expensive however food and drinks were good value. Reception Staff very helpful

The Caipirinha by the night shift in the roof top bar was mediocre at best.

Very nice hotel at a great location next to Copacabana beach. We had a room with a splendid sea-side view on the Copacabana - a bit more expensive than other rooms, but worth the additional money. At the top there is also a great roof top bar with a small pool to cool down (however, the Caipirinhas are less good than on the breach promenade). Staff is very friendly (particularly German-speaking Sascha at the Front desk) and the breakfast ist wonderful (also in a nice room with sea view). All in all a very good choice!

On our second morning we reported to reception that the toilet took a long time to fill up. That continued for our whole stay which was not ideal. The wait at reception was lengthy to check out as only one person was on duty (and also lengthy wait to ask questions during our stay). The lifts are small and often quite long waits for them too. Daily housekeeping was quite superficial.

The location of this hotel is excellent - just across from the beach. The price includes beach chairs, towels and umbrella. The rooms have balconies which is a big plus. The breakfast was excellent (although it did take a bit of time for them to come round with tea). We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was very good (although it did take 40 minutes to come and the restaurant was not busy). The roof terrace is lovely.

Bathroom was too small. No counter top at all and no storage for toiletries. Hanging space was only for short garments and no hangers for pants. All our clothes were creased because of the hangers.

Location was great. Breakfast good value. View from our balcony was stunning. Bed was comfortable and covers good quality.

That hotel is amazing!!! Well-located, clean, very nice staff, good food. Breakfast is awesome, with loads of options and lovely staff. The best part for me was the beach service with chairs, umbrella and staff to help us and mind our stuff. I would like to repeat again and leave here a good rate for all staff. Seriously, they were all so lovely and helpful.Very good team!

The facilities are a bit older and the rooms could get an update. However, everything was clean and comfortable.

Located directly at the world-famous Copacabana beach. There are also a lot of good restaurants very nearby.
