Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesIt really matched expectations, not much to add here. Perhaps the room was a bit smaller than expected. Breakfast was decent but not great. Perfect for a short stay, but I wouldn't recommend more than two or three nights.
Comfortable if very small room, decent breakfast, all clean and tidy. Good location within Rio, right near the city center and, obviously, very close to Santos Dumont Airport. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

United Arab EmiratesWhile the check-in process was slightly longer than expected, it was a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of the enjoyable stay. The staff managed this situation well, ensuring it didn't overshadow the overall experience.
Novotel Santos Dumont in Rio made for a very satisfactory stay. The rooms were clean and cozy, creating a comfortable environment to unwind after exploring the city. The staff proved to be a highlight; their friendliness and flexibility stood out, always ready to assist with our needs. Breakfast and lunch at the hotel were exceptional, featuring a wide variety of dishes that catered to all tastes. Both meals left us delighted and eagerly awaiting the next. In summary, Novotel Santos Dumont provides a pleasant stay with commendable services, delicious food, and amiable staff. I would definitely recommend it for a stay in Rio.

FranceThe shower was a bit old, but nothing bad. if you’d like to explore Rio, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel as the location isn’t the greatest (from my POV).
Very convenient for an early flight at Dumont airport. Bed is super confortable, the shower hot and pressure really nice. staff is also super reactive and helpful.

Netherlandsthough at walking distancr from SD airport terminal exit, the last 300 meters are a disaster and terrible idea to walk oncevthe Sun is down. we walked daytime and was okay but our friends arrived at 9pm and had to take a cab for the 4 minutes ride as they were strongly advisrd not to walk. ridiculous. But, it is NOT the hotel’s fault!
