Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ArgentinaBreakfast was embarrassingly bad for a hotel that claims to be 4 stars. Brazil has arguably the best fruit in the world, and somehow the fruit in the breakfast had no taste and was not fresh at all. Interestingly, there's always this fruit salad that SOMEHOW has the same fruits that were available the day before. Obviously nobody touches this salad because they can tell it's old fruit. They had very little options in terms of cereal, pastry, and others. Also, no vegetable milk available. They only give you 1 key, which is inadmissible for the price you pay. I get that they offer you to leave the key at reception, but given that the safe in your room has a key, why would you leave your room key at reception when you still need to hold onto the safe key anyways? If i need to take care of a key, might as well take care of two. The balcony doors didn't fully close, which did not make us feel safe. Interestingly, they charge you extra to use the safe. They make you feel unsafe so you pay extra. I've never been asked to pay extra for this feature before. We also got the room with the hot tub, and were sad to find out that our room was very close to the others, and that the wall did not reach the top. The wall diving the rooms has 1.80m tops so if you are tall and you are standing close, you will have sight into your neighbors' hot tub. You can not only listen to everything they say but you can also see them on the reflection on the roof. DO NOT RENT THIS ROOM IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR PRIVACY.
Staff was just AMAZING. They did everything they could to make our stay the best stay possible. Having a private staircase to both Joao Fernandes and Joao Fernandinho cannot be overlooked, it is so nice to be that close to (in my opinion) the best two beaches in Buzios.

ChileBreakfast could improve, you had to pay for omellette or other prep on eggs... Beach did not have a private sector for hotel so you had many people around closeby you all the time... not romantic... fun for kids though.
Complementary beach towels, beach seat and umbrella. The view. Activities on beach

United KingdomI don’t have any real complaints. The bread rolls at breakfast on our final day weren’t fresh but there were other breads available that were fresh so I’m nitpicking really. There’s nothing significant I didn’t like. I thought it was great!
We had a wonderful few days at Colonna Park Hotel. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, and the view from the balcony was truly spectacular. I would say it’s worth every penny to get a room with sea views as it was a joy to open the shutters each morning. Direct access to the beach is great and, although it’s a few stairs, that’s obviously going to be the case when you’re up high with amazing views! It’s a very manageable walk up and down the stairs (we did it carrying a 2 year old every time and it’s really not difficult. The staff were friendly and attentive and the breakfast was very nice. There is a good pool and very pleasant gardens on site. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return next time we’re in Brazil.

BrazilI'm not sure if the beach it's part of the hotel ( Joe Bernandihno ) gorgeous beach , but very hard to get , the stairs end before reaching the beach and you have to walk through rocks to finally get to the beach , and this it could be very dangerous , because it's slippery , they should do something about that , because the beach is gorgeous and a lot of people goes . Another thing I didn't like , the beach doesn't a bathroom , there are 3 restaurants, but no bathrooms, so you have to go the hotel if you need to used the bathroom and the hotel is super hight up , so it's not an easy thing to do .
The hotel is gorgeous 😍 , really love the construction, very colonial style ( huge hotel ) ⭐️
