Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceWe had a nice stay at Aratinga Inn, Rennie was a great host, very helpful. The rooms are very quiet and comfortable. The Inn is located 10min by walk from the port, away from the agitation so you can relax properly :) thanks

AustraliaAratinga, besides being a impeccably beautiful place, has soul. Rennie and her team are absolutely lovely, and we felt embraced by them, by the natural beauty of Ilha Grande and by the great vibe of Aratinga Inn. Highly recommend it.

CanadaAMAZING !!!! Rennie thought of everything . Here is a list: DON’T THINK TWICE ABOUT BOOKING ☺️ - The moment you walk in it’s Tranquility - Greeted with cold towels infused with lemongrass - Clean, always freshly made bed and daily cleaning - Breakfast was delicious - Afternoon Tea (4-6pm) was a delight and yummy ( much needed after the beach all day) - The day of your checkout, you can come back and shower before you depart - Rennie was so sweet, accommodating and kind

United KingdomNot a huge fan of bugs, so I personally prefer to keep my windows shut. We found the windows open for airflow a few times, which is completely understandable but meant we had a few unwanted guests (it's the middle of the jungle!). Might recommend an anti-mosquito plug in. Rooms are a little on the small side, but you don't come to paradise to stay in your hotel.
What a glorious place to stay in Ilha Grande! Rennie is one of the most beautiful people I've ever met. The place is just gorgeous, surrounded by beautiful nature, really peaceful but close to everything you need. All the staff are very helpful. Great amount of information provided prior to visit. Would recommend booking the hotel's private transfer for the reasons Rennie sets out in her email. Plus laundry service is exceptional. Location is brilliant. Maybe a slow 7 min stroll from the port. Restaurants everywhere. I loved the way Rennie introduced guests to each other at breakfast. So friendly! I could go on, but decided to stop here! Couldn't recommend more!

ArgentinaEverything was fine; we really enjoyed our stay!
Beautiful Inn, located in a quiet zone. It has very nice common spaces; I loved having breakfast and merienda while watching the hummingbirds. Rennie is a wonderful hostess. She was super kind and gave us very good advice on what to do (and what not to) in Abraão. Thank you!!

United KingdomWe were in one of the double rooms; it was quite small, with no real space to put clothes etc. We also felt the bathroom was in need of a deep clean (there was an odour - only partially masked by a toilet chemical - which didn’t seem to be present in the room next door). It is also worth noting there isn’t a sea view as advertised (it was only visible from the shared veranda?)
Rennie is the perfect host - incredibly passionate and her knowledge of Isla Grande is limitless! It had rained a lot as we arrived on the island, so she was so helpful in recommending things we could do/enjoy in the conditions.

United KingdomThe only thing I can comment on is that although the room I stayed in was clean and cosy, more room to hang clothes etc in the rooms would have been good. There isn't much room to manoeuvre when your bags are on the floor.
A fabulous rainforest, garden retreat. Incredible host who goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is both comfortable and filled with activities, as her knowledge of the island is vast. The inn is around a 3/5 minute walk from the village which is an easy meander to the shops and restaurants. The inn is generally quiet and very clean.

United KingdomAratinga Inn was the most wonderful place to stay, for four idyllic days in Isla Grande. Rennie is an expert on the island, and couldn't have been more helpful. The property is amazing value for money, the bedrooms extremely comfortable, and the afternoon tea a bonus! Thanks so much, Rennie.

United KingdomAratinga Inn exceed our expectations in every aspect! Rennie was so welcoming and friendly and really made us feel at home. We were upgraded to a cabana and it was beautiful, with a lovely hammock on the veranda. The food was excellent and the afternoon tea was a lovely extra to come back to after a day hiking!

FranceExcellent value, delicious breakfast and afternoon teas, breathtaking garden, but more importantly an amazing host! Rennie went above and beyond to ensure we could get on the island (even when our bus arrived late, causing us to miss the boat), always gave us advice whenever we wanted to hike, dive, go to a restaurant, book the way back to Rio, etc. It really felt like staying at a relative's place, and not at a hotel, which was so heartwarming. One of the best hotel where we've been.
