Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BrazilThe girl who did my check-in seemed a bit pissed off at something else, and allowed this to interfere with the experience. I guess she just wasn't too friendly? She was polite though, which is what matters. I didn't like that much, but that's just a detail on the overall experience.
Has a comfortable range of options for breakfast. Nothing too fancy, but food is delicious. The room was squeaky clean and the place isn't much noisy during the night, which makes a difference when sleeping.

A nice hotel in an easy to locate part of town. There were shops nearby, and some of the nicer tourist points in Sao Paulo were within walking distance. The staff were all very friendly and kind, especially when there were language barriers.

Excellent service! I really enjoyed every hour of my stay at the Amalia hotel where I spent 4 days in mid-January. The level of hospitality, attention to the customer's needs and communication demonstrated by all staff members made me think of a Marriott hotel in a European capital at which I stayed earlier. Felipe and Gilberto, the two guys who welcomed me at the reception when I arrived after a long and tiring trans-Atlantic journey with several connections, were particularly attentive and helpful. The two were always there to respond to my queries, they solved every issue I may have faced, gave me some very useful advice on where to go and what to do or avoid doing in the neighborhood. They made my stay at the Amalia hotel a truly unforgettable experience! The breakfast was okay, considering the price I paid per night. Coffee was good. The only thing that could disturb me during those four days I stayed at the hotel was a load street noise, primarily due to buses parking underneath my window. The spacious bathroom in my room was way above my expectations. The shower was great too. It was easy to control, and there was always hot water and surprisingly stable pressure, considering the fact that my room was on the 9th floor. The hotel is perfectly located for short walks during daytime around the Teatro Municipal and the nostalgic Shopping Light mall, built in 1929. It's a nice place to start exploring the city, I guess. There are quite a few interesting buildings and monuments within a three-minute walk from the place. Felipe and Gilberto told me the neighborhood around the hotel was safe - and they seemed to be quite right - during the day and early evening (until 8 p.m.). I had no trouble whatsoever walking up and down the entire area in the daylight.

BrazilThe neighbour is not so nice. Please take into consideration that this property is located the old centre part of SP. If you are a tourist, I will recomend other zones more nice and safe.
Excelent place to stay. Good hotel located in a centre good zone. I only spent 1 day because I needed to do some paper work close to the hotel.
